Highlight of the weekend?
Tough choice.
Eddie Maguire chucking a red faced wobbly as the Eagles came home with umpire assistance.
OR
Mr Two Strikes held goal-less as the AFL's dream transfer enters year 6 of 9 without a flag for The Parasites.
OR
Geelong Kray brother realising his list can't win a final and that Duckhead and Chequebook are cooked.

This is why the Cats are into Jack Steven. Trouble is for us Lethers evidently likes cooked players.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Mon 10 Sep 2018 1:42am

I know a lot of women are obsessed with TV dramas and chick-flicks, with the
contrived, unrealistic plots and scenarios.
What you've described here is one of the things that makes this game magic.
It's real life drama, it's karma, it's like a Shakespeare tragedy, or Sophocles Greek tragedy.
I can't choose between the 3, they each get my vote.

How did women manage to take a bashing here? (BTW WS, you do know Shakespeare and Sophocles were making it up, right?)WellardSaint wrote: ↑Mon 10 Sep 2018 2:08am I know a lot of women are obsessed with TV dramas and chick-flicks, with the

A highlight and a lowlight:
Met up with a close mate of Greg Westeway’s on Friday night.
I lost my s***....
Unbelievably, this geeza used to live in my house in the 70s. What are the chances!!

Eagles will be in the GF, not a problem but the Tiges will give them a touch up. Eddie gets my vote as always and would love to see the dumbest Kray brother face the music and admit he is a s*** coach. He and Richo are good mates after all are'nt they?

Highlight for me was Hanneberys poor (personal) game. No way the hierarchy could even contemplate recruiting him, let alone a five year deal, surely.

Re: Highlight of the weekend?
I only saw a bit of game but stats say he had 24 possessions (8 cont), 3 tackles, 5 clearances, 5 inside 50s which seems reasonable in a team that got smashed, interested as to why his personal game was so poor? Like I said I didn’t see it so not having a go, just curious as to whether it was disposal efficiency, accountability etc?Stephen Theodore wrote: ↑Mon 10 Sep 2018 7:04pm Highlight for me was Hanneberys poor (personal) game. Re: Highlight of the weekend?
He looked slow and that impacted his DE. Got tackled and turned it over after he received the footy in space in the first 5 minutes of the match. It wasn't the Hannebery that we remember when he was an All Australian. Basically he lacked that speed and spread that he was famous for.Harvey To Hayes wrote: ↑Mon 10 Sep 2018 9:54pmI only saw a bit of game but stats say he had 24 possessions (8 cont), 3 tackles, 5 clearances, 5 inside 50s which seems reasonable in a team that got smashed, interested as to why his personal game was so poor? At times he'd have a look around for options without any real urgency and his disposals would get smothered or he had to handball in a hurry. Couple of other times his kicks went to no one or went to the opposition.

Re: Highlight of the weekend?
Exactly. In the several games I have watched him now late in this season he has shown no more, and probably less that the slow than the slow, but much younger, inside mids that we already have.Scollop wrote: ↑Tue 11 Sep 2018 12:58amHe looked slow and that impacted his DE. Jack Steele's last half season is way above the quality that Hanners has exhibited of late.
PS: If we effectively lose Steven to get Hanners then the club should hang its head in shame.

We need to increase our premiership player quota.
Richmond has tonnes of premiership players that they brought in to win the flag last year remember??

A Joel Selwood montage;
- Hawkins' face when free was taken off him; his eyes uncrossed.
- Selwoods' face when Oliver barrelled him and stole the ball full frontal assault; his eyes crossed;
- Scott's face when Joel perfectly ducked or dived for a free time after time and the umpires were not sucked in; his eyes bulged.

May have had 24 disposals, and not sure on efficiency, but looked slow as, maybe he's carrying an injury, but whatever, imo had no impact on the game.Harvey To Hayes wrote: ↑Mon 10 Sep 2018 9:54pmI only saw a bit of game but stats say he had 24 possessions (8 cont), 3 tackles, 5 clearances, 5 inside 50s which seems reasonable in a team that got smashed, interested as to why his personal game was so poor? Have to be Callan Ward, what a captain he is, would love to have him at the saints, That is the type of player who can drag a team up the ladder. Hannebery is gone, cooked.
