Minch, if he were at a club with good development,
would have gotten to 60-80 games by now.
Our club CANNOT develop players, and Minch is proof, as are lots of others.
He has the skill. He has the tools.
The club has too many guys that can't play well most of the time,
so making it tough for incoming fringe players to really thrive.
They need to do a lot of heavy lifting from the very start.
Nah, couldn't get on the park enough. Would always be a patchy player, goes missing too often.
Missing?
Our midfield coaches can't work out good tactics nor methods,
so it's a development and coaching issue.
We've dumped several assistant coaches, and I think AR and the other coaches are useless.
'Missing' could mean not knowing where to run to, and team-mates kicking
to the wrong spots.
A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

It also doesn’t apply to Minch anymore than half a dozen other players...
Don’t Newnes, SInclair, Weller, White, DMAC, Savage, Dunstan, Lonie, Webster, Phillips, Gresh, Billings, Rice go missing more often than we’d likw

Every player in the AFL goes missing more than the fans would like. Minch <<<<<< all those players, even Weller. Good luck to him though.

Yes it does. He played 28 games and averaged 5 kicks a game and less than 1 goal per game. Wanted him to succeed but unfortunately never showed enough at AFL level.

Yeh whats with the drip feed?
They are probably shopping these players to other clubs and once they have 17 opposition clubs emphatically saying, No, the player in question is delisted as he's clearly not wanted by his own club .
See ya meatball.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

You'd think that a lot of behind the scenes stuff goes on before deciding who goes. Id say Menzel has committed and maybe one or two others have as well.
Keep the player until a spot is needed. I agree with Curly. Some deal has firmed.

Of the players coming out of contract this year only 5 remain after the de- listings.
Weller, Longer, Lonie, Steele and Phillips.
You would think they would want to keep Steele and Phillips and probably Lonie.
Weller and Longer are possible trades.
Would burst on to the scene at the beginning of the game and then disappear for the rest of it. Really looked like a player when he was visible.
Shame he didn’t make it but it just wasn’t to be.
Correct. Couldn't get fit and stay fit and notoriously had no tank and would run out of gas in the ones and/or couldn't back up week on week. Our fitness staff have been among the best in footy in the last few years. Plenty to blame the club for when it comes to recruiting, giving away of high picks for bugger all is our stock-in-trade, but Meatball's not making the grade should not be sheeted home to the club.
One of the few on the list that could hit a leading forward on the tit.
But of course, that doesn't make him a great player.
Tried hard and had a bit of the excitement factor.
Good luck.
Give me one flag & I'll go to my grave a happy man.
Cant even remember his last game, lets get serious. He had 7 yrs at the club and did not play many games. If he was injured so be it but the club has to move these players on. No point saying that he could have done this or that. He hasnt and truth of it is, will another club sign him up? Probably not.
With a bit of luck with injuries and better development I think Minch could be a very handy small forward who pinch hits in the midfield. A highly skilled 17 disposal, 1.5 goal per game kind of player

Exactly.
I’ve been wanting more player turnover for years. We simply hold onto poor prospects for too long. We don’t have the development system of Richmond, Hawks or Swans who can wait for years and unearth a Sicily type.
