Re: Dylan Roberton Resumes Training
From what I understood he couldn't, or wasn't allowed to do any form of physical exercise for the remainder of the year, or at least until the doctors captured 3 months of data from a logger recording his heart condition. And from there some decisions could be made. Someone might be able to confirm if I've got the details correct.DJ Higgins wrote: ↑Wed 04 Jul 2018 1:13pm I saw that he started running again. If it's correct, does being ahead of schedule on that original plan mean good news. Let's hope so.

I think the problem is that they couldn't anything wrong and therein lies the issue - what caused it and could it happen again?

Re: Dylan Roberton Resumes Training
He is still fitted with a pacemaker, and is still unable to drive a car so, although he is running again, he is a long way from playing again. But it is good to see him back doing some physical activity, if only for his personal well beingCairnsman wrote: ↑Wed 04 Jul 2018 3:50pmFrom what I understood he couldn't, or wasn't allowed to do any form of physical exercise for the remainder of the year, or at least until the doctors captured 3 months of data from a logger recording his heart condition. Great news. Good thing for us but moreso for Dylan and his family.
I don't believe it's a pacemaker fitted but a heart monitor.

Re: Dylan Roberton Resumes Training
Back in full non-contact training today.
Even better news is that the medicos believe it was some sort of viral infection rather than an ongoing heart condition. So that not only gives him an explanation for what happened but gives him confidence it won't be a recurring problem.
Should be right to do a full pre-season.
Great just to see him running around again.
Even better if he gets back to his AA squad form.

My sister has a heart synchroniser and a defibrillator installed.
Heart damaged by a virus is suspected.
