I wonder if this sort of discussion happened before the Essendon game or during training last week.

According to Richo on 360 there was a plan to pressure players like Saad and McKenna and disrupt their run from the back. Richo noted that Brown's bump was out of character (that one won't float at the tribunal). Felt that Nathan had tried to contribute pressure (in line with the plan) but the bump was late and the outcome was not intentional. 3 - 4 weeks vacation was the "expert" consensus.
