Yeah, who would want that piece of crap Mark Williams who developed the youth at Port to a GF and then developed the youth at Richmond so they went to the finals 4 out of 5 years and when Damien realized it was his head and Williams was next in line he nearly placed all the blame for their success on William's who was then FIRED! FECKME !!!! Fired after developing the teams youth to 4 out of 5 years getting to finals and only missing that one year due to injuries and suspensions....yeah you're right he is sh!te, nothing like our Richoparkeysainter wrote: ↑Sun 29 Jul 2018 9:39pmSome good names on there, but Mark Williams...no way. Re: My New Coaching Staff
Yeah, Williams 5 or 10 years ago would have been good. Not anymore. He coaches an amateurs side I think plus his role at Richmomd was not as big as some are led to believe. He is good at yelling very loudly though.David-Lee wrote: ↑Sun 29 Jul 2018 9:43pmYeah, who would want that piece of crap Mark Williams who developed the youth at Port to a GF and then developed the youth at Richmond so they went to the finals 4 out of 5 years and when Damien realized it was his head and Williams was next in line he nearly placed all the blame for their success on William's who was then FIRED! Re: My New Coaching Staff
Has been touched on before, but i could see BJ having a big impact as an on field coach in the Hodge / Mitchell role. Would also like to see lenny back as an assistant as well as McQualter.
I think the team standards and attitude of the 2001 - 2010 Saints would make a big difference. and whilst he can be a little cranky, Goddard would certainly add accountability. Poor disposal, particularly in front of goal has been the biggest killer this season, and i wonder how the regular players would hold a straight face if they were admonished for their poor disposal by our current leadership group of Geary, Newnes, Ross and Jack.

Re: My New Coaching Staff
Even if you got them that list is far too long. How many coaches do you need? It was identified here a while ago how many staff St Kilda have and they sit 15th, its rubbish. I would say 7 maximum so they can be held accountable. There is also no dedicated skills coach named which is the biggest problem they have, Mitchell , Harvey etc were skilul but will that be their role? There is not a goal kicking coach there either. With 7 you can spend your extra money on 3 specialist people. Wonder if Cameron Ling would come to the saints?
I can never get my head around the regal position of a High performance Manager. he gets $500k for what exactly? Australian Cricket team have one of those too.

Re: My New Coaching Staff
My thoughts on David King are:
Player Development Manager has 3-5 assistants and cohorts.
They work tenaciously to ensure the player has the resources and assets required to develop professionally to optimum levels.
King is a smart ass and certainly a rascal as a commentator but he played a vicious game in his prime and his personal financial portfolio reflects his skill in extracting every bit of life out of a situation. He has the skills to push and manipulate and torment to get his way. That's what a modern player development manager must do to ensure his players get top resources every time..
