Sorry, but who exactly is declaring that we’re suddenly world beaters and that we don’t have a long road ahead?
I thought we were just celebrating a win against a long standing hated opposition.
I can’t believe that some people would actually want us to lose to that rabble.
And you call yourself supporters.
What a disgraceful lot you are.
Good post
And while you’re at it show me the post where our posters on SS are barracking against us and for Carlton cause you must have evidence to once again come out half cocked yeah?

Amazing. Some people are not capable of deriving pleasure from anything. Doom and Gloom all the time.
Anyway, we should be top 4 - have gained more points vs top 10 teams than Collingwood who are 4th. They have only beaten Melb in top 10, we have beaten Melb & drew with GWS.
We're on the way up!
Yay!!! We beat Carlton start the March band up again and cancel Sept holiday plans!!!

One of the few times this year pretty well everything went our way. Injuries to key players, umpires etc. Boys gained a lot of confidence. Interesting to note Richo did not make one tactical move all night. Not one.
Out of curiosity, why is the last bit interesting?
Is it because he usually does? Or because the players initiated any moves themselves? Or because things were going our way from early on there was no need to make any moves?
Or are you saying that the assistants made the moves?

I think he’s saying they got the tactics right from the start, but I’d also like clarification ... out of curiosity.

we shouldve won by 90+
the fact we didnt is actually concerning
Carlton wete herrendous.
I think you’ll find a bit more will come from this game. Carlton were pretty confident, a line in the sand game so to speak. It wasn’t as clear cut as it appeared. Our boys were ready and played a pretty controlled game. The Blues will implode.
How do you know it was their line in the sand game? Are we using ASIO as consultants?
I do however agree that there will be some fallout from Carlton coterie groups and powerbrokers, if that's what you meant
Gaius Popillius Laenas was seen in the Carlton rooms pre-match with a big stick
But did he draw a straight line in the sand or a circle around the club president with instructions to not walk out until he gave an answer to the demands of Rome.
The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.

ok see now you've forced me to give you a stern finger waving as well - this line of thought will only end in tears
So was AR - Gaius ? Sitting down there near the white line circle commanding/bluffing with no other plan than the one he presented? And Bolton/Antiochus thought retreat the better part of valour?
Or is Finnis/Kingsley Gaius - who seeing it better to draw a circle round AR and handing him a complex but workable game plan that he'd never seen before sent AR packing down to the bench? ( so that would make AR Antiochus)
or if as proposed Bolton is Antiochus - then who the bl@@dy hell is Gaius ? Which stkilda official was in the room pre-bounce?
Its doing my head in

Is that good planning.
I haven't read the posts all the way through - but what I think Tony is telling us is that Richo's job on the night was not to be making tactical moves as a response to what was happening on the field - I think someone on another thread has already said that Kingsley is doing all that from the box - Tony confirming that - Richo managing the players and working with them at ground level - it worked the other night - lets see how it goes against a good team

Carlton were terrible....really bad. Come back next week with some positive shtick after we play a genuine AFL standard side. Hanging our hat on last night as some sort of measure of improvement is more papering over the cracks.
