Saints Slash Prices for Blues Game
Reported the club has slashed ticket prices for Friday nights game in an attempt to boost attendance.
Adult general admission will be reduced from $25 to $13 and premium tickets behind the goals on level 2 will be reduced from $75 to $45 attendance.
The club is also opening extra bays for general admission to sit on level 1 rather than level 3.
Apparently due to our new stadium deal even small increases in attendance translates into significant financial uplift.
A great initiative, makes great business sense.

Re: Saints Slash Prices for Blues Game
Hopefully we get more bums on seats, but really this is damning for the president and board who after 5 years or so have driven this club exactly nowhere, to the point of almost begging people to come to games now. I have no confidence in those running this club sadly.

Re: Saints Slash Prices for Blues Game
AFL360: Robbo teases AR by effectively saying Saints v Carlton on a Friday night is a joke. AR ponders then stands firm, noting the draw is done before start of season. So take that Robbo.

A battle for the ages this one coming up on Friday night.
It will rival the great battles of the Napoleonic era.

I am not sure what impact it will have but at least they are trying something. I don't think it is the ticket prices keeping fans away I think it is our skill levels.
I am a little annoyed that us loyal fans who have paid for a full year membership at full price get nothing but I guess if it helps the club.

Re: Saints Slash Prices for Blues Game
It's a sad reflection of where we're at but quite frankly - the club's Admin has only got itself to blame. At some point - people stop believing the hype and lose hope - which is all football clubs sell .... HOPE.
All of the poor staffing, recruiting and coaching decisions of the past 7-8 years are finally coming home to roost. Whilst this 'cheap seats' promotion is tacky etc - it's not this I'm worried about ... it's actually the looming off season. I can't think how we're going to retain a lot of the newer members let alone attract new ones. Surely the toughest gig in Clubland will be St Kilda's marketing manager's.
The only ray of hope is that at least we're not North. They're going well and could only muster 14K to their game last weekend - imagine when they fall off their inevitable cliff ...

I bet people would flip if they knew ex senior players of the Saints were only given 3 game memberships this year for some reason. What a way to treat ex players.

Not sure about the steak knives but I know there's a drawer full of wooden spoons somewhere.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Which bays?

Re: Saints Slash Prices for Blues Game
dont think that would be a smart move
giving a whole bunch of stkilda supporters a knife
could you imaging if Carlton win
They will have to rename the docklands to Jonestown
(That will sort the oldies out from the Ygens)

I read about it on the AFL app. I just checked the article again and it doesn't specify which bays.Enrico_Misso wrote: ↑Thu 12 Jul 2018 3:54pmI can't find anything about this on the website.

Doesn't the offer extend until midnight tonight(Thursday)?
