Polec and Gaff will do just nicely

If he was to come back to Melbourne, Hawthorn had overtaken us anyway. That was the whisper floating about.
Oh well, next target(s) I guess. Keep trying Saints.

happy with that, too old for our list
have a crack at Polec
not sold on Gaff (esp for what we'd have to give to get him), gets the ball but can he lift a side when the chips are down?

Re: Sloane re-signs for 5 years with Crows.
What the f*** is good about sitting at the bottom of the ladder?
What the f*** is good about missing out on getting an A grade star that will improve your team?
What the f*** is good about being so mediocre on field that big money plus coming home to Melbourne to start his family is not enough to entice a player to join St Kilda?
This administration and this football department have promised a lot and delivered zero. At least with Brisbane and Carlton and even Freo at the moment, they haven't put a timeline on success. The Saints unfortunately sold their members a lie and filled our email inboxes with grand plans and expectations. It looked ok in theory, but we needed to nail those draft picks, we needed to lure some free agents, and we needed a talented coaching group. Unfortantely, up 'til now, we've failed in too many areas.
Recent history suggests that when your footy club is down the bottom of the ladder you need some some little recruiting and FA wins to get the ball rolling and gather some momentum. I fear we may be stuck down the bottom for the next 5 years. That's why I would have loved it if Rory Sloane became a Sainter

The whole thing about who a player supported as a kid is always rubbish.
Players are grown men. It is business.
Who they went for as a kid almost never comes in to it so all.

Carlisle in my opinion he can help the kids grow and not watch their leader make turnover after turnover it becomes exceptable for everyone unfortunately
