I think one McGovern and two gun mids are needed.
Very vanilla midfield.

Hunter Clark is going to be an incredible player for us.
He has a great footy brain, awareness and classy skills on both sides.
Reads the play well, gets to the ball first often, makes good decisions.
Has a Winmar like gait.

30 disposals 3 goals is a great night by anyone's standards. Old school Armo

Billy hasn’t actually been too bad.
Let his opponent off the chain in the first half, but steadied and broke even with a somewhat out of form Ryder.
Still a liability with his disposals though.

I hope the journos ask Richo WTF he was thinking at the selection table this week.
Weller,Joyce, Longer, Gilbert and Wright we wouldn’t even beat Carlton we’ve these blokes in the team let alone a team in the top 4.
Newnes, Geary and Savage must be on borrowed time as well.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 16 2018
I agree 2019 will see improved performance - with hopefully Roberton returning
The structure of this side is very poor but can be improved with Carlisle, Bruce and Battle
To next week, Richardson, if he is to leave any positive legacy, needs to select Carlisle and Acres as automatic then Hickey, Marshall, Freeman and Coffield - and Battle if available
So 7 “ins”
Still minus Roberton and Long
And White needs to be looked at = 8 including Battle
Gone?
Geary, Longer, Joyce, Wright, Newnes, Weller, Gilbert ( this is about 2019 now) and Savage who just in not competitive enough for me with no body on body pressure
Those players dropped are the tail we need to eradicate
Plus these changes will improve our structure instead of relying on one big forward and no one when McCartin has to ruck
Membrey is not a key forward and we are wasting an asset by selecting him as a key forward
He needs the 3rd or 4th defender on him to be really dangerous
Plus we need some support for Number 3 - and it is time to look at Freeman
We have the grunt - but you need that grunt to feed to the outside where I have a question mark over Sinclair on consistency
2019 will be better - but the top and the bottom have to be bought up to the pace

Re: Match Thread Saints v Power Round 16 2018
Our skills by hand were attrocious today. I lost count of the amount of times we'd recieve a handball under pressure or have to stretch to get it and fall over in the process. It hasn't been that bad all year so hopefully it's just a one-off.

Certainly proved me wrong. I had him down as finished. Been good last few weeks. Certainly ok as a forward changing thru midfield.
Nee!
