Nathan Freeman Debut is Crucial vs GCS
The selectors have to select the lad. I'm tired of this pussy-footing around. Get him in the team before he re-injures himself with Sandy and we bemoan not selecting him again. We have to see what he can do at AFL level and get him used to that standard if he is to have a future at the club. I can't remember a player waiting so long to debut.
We have NOTHING TO LOSE. It's NOW OR NEVER.

Yes I am somewhat prone to saying what the hell...
"Now the ball is loose, it gives St. Kilda a rough chance. Black. Good handpass. Voss. Schwarze now, the defender, can run and from a long way".....

No, not yet, after the bye if form and fitness hold up, you need to understand, no-one can just step into AFL Footy these days in limited game time, especially Freeman, stay patient a little longer!!!!!

gotta be our best, hardest 22 this week. Just not the right time for him yet. But i completely understand the sentiment... we need something positive to happen

agree on freezer
(not yet)
though on the other issue
go as young and inexperienced as we can against the Suns
debut those due
bring the 'A' team back after the bye
change sh!t up a bit ... create the circuitbreaker

2 to 4 more games in the VFL.

Yeah, no way he could compete at the intensity level we played against the Swans

Re: Nathan Freeman Debut is Crucial vs GCS
He has been hitting near or over 30 disposals constantly when playing VFL recently - He has been playing well enough to get a spot ahead of Lonie Weller and Newnes
Play him and give the playing group a boost and the supporters something to cheer about
Reward Freezer for all his hard work and persistence - the time has come

Silly idea. He should play when he is able to not because people want to try something different. Worked to hard to go in at less than 100 per cent

Re: Nathan Freeman Debut is Crucial vs GCS
Watched him closely at sandy last week, he is certainly a bull and can win his fair share of contested ball, but he hasn't got his explosiveness back, he provided almost no outside run. I think he needs to get this back before being selected. Connellan, on the other hand is exactly what we need, he is so damned quick and has a bit of ex-factor. There was one piece of play last week where him and his direct opponent were standing just inside the centre square at half forward with no one behind them. We broke from half back and kicked long over their heads into empty space. From that time on its was over, Conellan took off and ran into an open goal leaving his man in his dust.

I also think one more week and then the bye is ideal for Freezer. It'll give his shoulder two more weeks and he gets to debut in Melbourne on the hallowed turf.
Connellan really needs to debut soon in my opinion.
His speed would be welcomed at the moment. He's done enough of an apprenticeship.
I like what I've seen from him at Sandy and I fear another club poaching him and hitting paydirt.
