This weeks game
I can see this week's game as a coach killer if we lose.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: This weeks game
The heat will be majorly on the entire club if we lose this week...imagine if we get a 8 or 10 goal thumping...or even worse lose by a point or two. I feel sick just thinking about it.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 12 Jun 2018 9:27pm I can see this week's game as a coach killer if we lose.
I'm not even watching the game this Sat night and have got better things to do. I'm tuning out until those involved with the Saints actually start caring and giving a s*** about their footy club. Many other Saints fans feel the same I'm betting.

Not me. I’m incredibly unhappy with our performances this year but I’m not giving up.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Tue 12 Jun 2018 9:33pmThe heat will be majorly on the entire club if we lose this week...imagine if we get a 8 or 10 goal thumping...or even worse lose by a point or two. Re: This weeks game
Gold Coast didn't take a mark inside 50 for the whole game last week. First time ever that's happened I believe.
I don't know what that says for our chances, apart from Gold Coast are really, really bad. But they could very well have something to prove against our also really bad team.

Don't joke. They asked that poor kid, Steele to ruck last weekend.
Dave is probably being lined up next.

Can't see us losing.
I mean Gold Coast are in a hole so deep that if that China game was played now they could have probably just strolled to the ground and saved on the airfare.

Don't discount just how low we can go.

If I knew that the coach would be sacked during the bye if we lose then I’d be wanting a GC win.Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Tue 12 Jun 2018 9:27pm I can see this week's game as a coach killer if we lose.
But Summers is soft - he’ll do nothing regardless.

It’s a TV curtain raiser for Australia vs. France, so will get a big audience on telly (except for Stinger and his identical twin)

Re: This weeks game
refreshing - the saints being talked up for a game (or rather the opposition being talked down).
feel for the Suns - season over before it started due to the cw games. surely the afl could have equalised and set most of their home games in the back half.
the team came out strongly to start but quickly been worn down. imagine richmond playing 10 straight away - they'd be near the bottom as well.
now we have to hope they don't have a bounce in them after last week. if they do, we'll likely lose. on current form though, they're worse than us.

Re: This weeks game
The only thing more moronic than Armo and Steele in the ruck was having Acres in there. Not suited to playing midfield apparently but eminently qualified to play ruck. Either with shot groins or groins that were turned that way after jumping into monsters. Whilst Marshall was in the team.
I've met Richo a few times and like him as a person but, it's stuff like the above that just makes me think 'yeah nah - he's had his go - he can toddle off now as clearly his footy brain box just isn't up to it'.
Go you red, black & white warriors

Re: This weeks game
I hope we get pumped to be honest. Yes yes I am being negative etc but if we win Richo and his team stay for longer and nothing will change, if we lose GC go to 16 points and we stay on 6 all but guaranteeing pick three. GC lessen their priority pick claim so it wont be before pick 3, Richo and this team are under immense pressure and may either pull their fingers out or pull up stumps and leave.
Either way winning will be worse for us long term than losing

Re: This weeks game
I don't think they'll have to claim, the AFL will find a way to give them a pick ahead of us regardless of where either team finishes. Watch them magically get 2 compensation picks for Lynch when he walks!DJ Higgins wrote: ↑Wed 13 Jun 2018 1:40pm I hope we get pumped to be honest. Re: This weeks game
There is winning and winning. Falling over the line against poor old Suns would be nothing to get excited about. Early betting is Saints $1.65 Suns $2.25 i.e 0. 65 on vs 1.25 against. Hardly Winx odds.

I have a strong feeling that the absolute nadir of this awful season will be reached on Saturday at Metricon Stadium, with the Saints going down by 3-5 goals. Just CANNOT see this mob improving on last Saturday’s (ahem ) performance.

Re: This weeks game
Brace yourself Colleague! We went up there in 2016, with the Saints just having beaten Geelong in a thriller at the Dome we call Home, while Gold Coast were staring at the real prospect of an ELEVENTH STRAIGHT LOSS. Well, the Suns ( and Ablett ) presented us with our arse on a platter! A woeful display!!!! I’m expecting the same this week!saynta wrote: ↑Thu 14 Jun 2018 5:35pmI f****** hope not. My advice is to enjoy the pre match function at Emerald Lakes. Circulate and enjoy the company of fellow Sainters, take an iPod and use it when those idiots start giving out their platitudes and spin! I’m just SO over all the bulls*** from this crowd! They’re having a lend of us! Focus on the REAL gems! The Travelling Saints and the fabulous QLD Saints Supporters Group!
