POLL: When should we sack Richo?
Richo is on life-support.
When do we flick the switch?
Assume finances/payout is taken care of somehow.

Sack the coach but also a complete independent review and overhaul of the whole club.

You do realise that that doesn't really make much sense?

Re: POLL: When should we sack Richo?
I think we should think about keeping him for a while but that doesn't seem an option. This season his winning percentage is 12.5%. Far better than most racehorses (and AR is cheaper to feed and agist. We can also try to claim the actual capital loss/ damage to the club against a higher salary cap in future years). He has a proven career record of 34% so is clearly just having a bit of a form slump. If he could regain that earlier form we would win about three more games this season and at the moment I would settle for that. If you could see your way to add a choice like Spell him after a couple more runs in weaker company and bring him back after September, see how he goes fresh, I would go for that. But if he doesn't trial well maybe try gelding, he did raise his eyebrows at Robbo tonight so we might need to control that emerging aggressive streak. The upside of keeping him is that we would get two mentions in the Guinness Book of Records for monumental failure as a long time professional sports team. Think of the trivia games you could slip that into.

I still don't think Richo is the main issue.
Its probably the players not pulling their fingers out. Ross and Dunstan just publicly came out and said the players are devastated for Richo and love him as a coach. So who is at fault? Really?

pffft! Who cares what the players think?
Anonymous internumpties have spoken!
On Thursday there will be a sacking, pitchforking, mincing, then sausage sizzle.
*Allegedly.

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

If the players do love him then let's see how they respond to a loved one under pressure.
An insipid performance against GC means they aren't playing for him.
Either way it's a tough business and a nice-guy coach who either
- doesn't have a coherent message or
- isn't able to communicate that message
does not make him a good coach.
