Bit early to make him a tagger but it worked, still seems a bit slow. Thats what happens when you put young blokes in and leave out the duds you keep pushing for all the time. Move Lonie out for good, move weller on and then you have a fresh young team on the up. Get bruce , carlisle and acres in and we have something to look forward to for the rest of the year. Still only won one game.

Hunters game along with Tim’s accurate kicking were the big plusses for me. Great way to speed his learning curve by running with opposing Agraders He’s going to be a ripper!! Oh and there’s a lot to like about Sinkers too
Best ive felt for 2months Just makes you wonder about about those 4 dead set gifts in the first half and what might have been

Maybe why Perth sides have failed in the big dance. Come to the MCG after home finals, don't get the usual gifts and become confused. WC and Freo should ask umpires boss to have umps use level playing field approach occasionally to get the feel of it.

He doesn't appear to be quick, and seems to lumber a bit - but he actually moves quite fast.chico2001 wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 1:20am Bit early to make him a tagger but it worked, still seems a bit slow. To play a game like that in the midfield, against one of the top 3 midfields in the comp in your 8th game, is a fantastic effort.
17 touches, 6 tackles, 3 Inside 50s, 5 Clearances.
Big game for a kid.

Looks quick to me....in the last quarter he accelerated away from two would be tacklers, and gained plenty of meters
Nee!

What I like most about him, is that he seems to be a hard nosed competitor. And, he also has that unique 'Pendlebury esque' ability to choose the right option.

I've noticed that Hunter has been running out all 4 quarters, actually his last quarter is often his best. Good sign for a young player.

Might look slow but he's not. Put the jets on last night and easily lopped away from a speedy coaster.chico2001 wrote: ↑Sun 03 Jun 2018 1:20am Bit early to make him a tagger but it worked, still seems a bit slow. Re: Hunter Clarke is our best player.
Our only other 2 sided player is Roberton - who we badly miss
There is a question there
Once upon a time - a number of years ago - you focussed on your not natural side to the extent that you had equal abilities
In fact you would go to your non natural side more often
Then there was a Coach who drummed in that you had to equally work on your strengths to increase your advantage
There was a game at Norwood v Carlton when Neil Balme instructed to change numbers - so for example the work done on Number 10 wheeling onto his left leg and adding to his 600 goals as a forward flanker saw Number 10 that night wheeling into his right leg - and occasionally onto his left just to show off
The Scoreboard said what it said!
But these days the 18 year olds being drafted seem to be exclusively one sided players - and that represents a change over a generation

Re: Hunter Clarke is our best player.
I mentioned it on the match day thread but one of Richo's verbal blurter quotes just fit Clark's game so well.
Appetite for the contest.
He had to play inside in the absence of Dunstan and he just had a real crack. His best game by a mile and hopefully just a snapshot of what is to come.
He lopes.

Yes, you are right, his moves are a bit deceptive and he did show some good pace a couple of times. Be interesting to see how he plays out the year

The H-Bomb was delivered with great success on Doomsday! The President, General Turgidson and Dr. Strangelove were all pleased with the result.
