Jack Sinclair
Currently struggling with the physicality demands of AFL football.
Struggling to the extent that I do not recall a Saints player being less prepared to put their body on the line.
I think this will affect his AFL tenure if he can't run it around.
Lovely skills, neat player, good kick has a lot of attributes.
How does one work on an area like this when it does not come naturally to the individual?

Re: Jack Sinclair
You let him play to his strengths, which is vision and very good disposal.
Don’t try to make him what he is not. We have enough tackling machines and too few who are damaging by hand and foot.
He’s played 44 games and is just 23. I think stick with him and he’ll be a very good player.
Obviously there are certain non-negotiables that you demand of every player, so he should work on his weaknesses as well

Re: Jack Sinclair
The worrying thing about yesterday was he made some really bad disposal errors, which is usually his strong point.

Re: Jack Sinclair
one very sloppy kick to the middle of the ground,
didn't get to the Saints player that he was trying for, but it went closer to a Tiger
who pounced on it like a.... Tiger, I suppose, and I think (could be wrong) resulted in a goal
to the Yellow Shitstains

Re: Jack Sinclair
How’s he being developed?
It’s not linear but do we have a plan for him?
Is his skills and attributes being indoctrinated into a game plan that’s cohesive and clear to him? Aka does he know what his role is? He’s no enforcer
Our development track record is Shyte full I’d start there when players with obvious ability start to go backwards .....you don’t lose that ability overnight......that’s confidence and support for mine

apart from Bruce, Skunk, Sincs, DMac, Billings, Minch, Wright, Weller, Savage, Lonie...
I think our club is certainly fulfilling the part of the plan that says
"our development will be the envy of the AFL"

Re: Jack Sinclair
What’s his contract status? I’m a bit worried about how the coaching staff may view him... there are numerous players that have been consistently poor but keep their spots in the 22 whilst Sincs, a player whose skill set we need, appears to be on a shorter leash.
I agree with the majority above, play to his strengths, heck put him on a flank if you need to but feed him the ball and back him in. He’ll hit more targets then he’ll miss

Re: Jack Sinclair
An ordinary game from him yesterday - back him in and hopefully he can turn it around. Normally he makes good decisions with his disposal (one of the few)

he's signed until end of 2019.
Hope he turns it around, because we can't afford to lose him to
another club like Crows, Swans, Cats etc
where he'll surely be pure silk.
We need to hang onto guys with his skill.

A really disappointing effort from young Jack. Cost us a couple of goals early in the match which were critical to our momentum

Re: Jack Sinclair
How the hell would Tony know what the players get up to outside of work hours?
They sure as s*** wouldnt tell him.
Any why would anyone take Tony's word for anything on here. He has been shown up for being full of it on numerous occasions.
He still thinks we are better than Melbourne. Delusional.

Re: Jack Sinclair
Seriously guys, “uninformed, malicious, bulls*** crap, slanderous stuff, cheap shots, troll”. I don’t post often, but I can guarantee you I don’t post any of that stuff and never have. I’ve heard talk about young Jack for years, going right back to his final school year, and posted here because it was relevant to the thread. Tony74 says otherwise and I hope he’s right, but it’s not what Ive heard from a couple of independent, we’ll informed sources. And the fact that it isn’t the 1980s is pretty irrelevant - tell that to Tom Liberatore, de Goey, Bennel, etc etc.
