Goodbye Etihad
Etihad to be renamed Marvel Stadium in huge deal with Disney.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

Re: Goodbye Etihad
Lol. The joint will be littered with Avengers paraphernalia in no time.
Serious question: do the Saints get anymore $ out of this for the next 8 years? I'm assuming we will get more as we are a host club. Anyone know?

Believe all clubs have renegotiated deals after the AFL bought Etihad, not sure there was any specific numbers released though.parkeysainter wrote: ↑Thu 24 May 2018 10:27am Lol. The joint will be littered with Avengers paraphernalia in no time.

Re: Goodbye Etihad
The ends will be renamed 'Iron Man' and 'Hulk'
The centre square will now be known as the 'web' in honour of Spiderman
The benches will be the 'Daredevil' interchanges
At every centre bounce Thor will appear on the screen punching the ground
And the goalposts will be painted silver like Wolverine's adamantium spikes!

Re: Goodbye Etihad
Maybe we can get a sponsorship deal from Stark Industries
Disney though would be a coll sponsor of the club. After all, us winning a premiership rigjt now is a bit of a fairytale.

Re: Goodbye Etihad
I'd have called it Neverland, apt for our flag chances with the current setup at the Saints.
Season 2024 is where RTB is showing the footy world his grasp of the modern game.

Honest to God, have you seen what these guys said today?
They said they’re not going to tinker with the sport (well thank goodness for that...)
But that they’re going to provide an “immersive technological experience”.
Guys, the beauty of footy is about to get mauled by these corporate clowns.

Re: Goodbye Etihad
I think it provides an opportunity to enhance the game day experience and grow crowds. Especially for the kids. Game day has been boring for years now and it would be easier to get little jack and Jill to the game. Superhero/saints merchandise. Etc

I imagine if Waverley was still around and they did a deal with Disney it would be called The Frozen Dome.

Always 'the Dome'
etihad was always a lame name.
I couldn't bring myself to utter it. Commercial baloney.
Marvel or Disney Dome or just about anything is better than eti.
I'm not switching away from 'the Dome' just yet.
