No new newnes?
Surprised there wasn't a discussion about Newnes. He gets put in the forward line and Gresh slots into more mid....the result was very surprising.
Noting the lack of any significant forward on the night yet the opportunity to kick 6 or 7 goals does not come often for a "forward" his size.
Is he on the verge of something special ?
Does anyone remember the last time he went forward in this type of a roll?

Re: No new newnes?
I've been advocating for Gresh to go into the middle, he actually adds a different dimension to our one dimensional midfield.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.

So what do you think Saynta? Give some feedback...did dead man walking ( If I say it enough it will happen) Coach Richo actually make a brilliant move? Is there value in Newnes at forward and never ever put him else where to flounder again? Or was this a fluke due to a discombobulated forward structure?

Re: No new newnes?
His speed seems a tad off, watch him running last season and then the last few games he seems to have a slight limp or change in his gait....is he carrying?Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sun 20 May 2018 5:56pm I've been advocating for Gresh to go into the middle, he actually adds a different dimension to our one dimensional midfield.

Re: No new newnes?
Gresham was good middle and Newnes worked but let’s save the decisions till seasons end

Agree wholeheartedly. We looked a better side at times in the first half with Gresham in there. He has vision and can really open the play up downfield. Good to see a glimpse of lateral thinking and innovation from the coach, but that might be a one-hit wonder.
Keep him there. And keep Newnes forward for now. That may be a one-hit wonder also, but who knows.
