Was I getting a PM from St P? Must have missed that. If that is the case, no, have not received a PM. How disappointing. Actually, it strikes me that the nic St Paul is actually
quite a departure from his previous nics, seemed to require a different thought process. Interesting. I have a suggestion for his next nic ...... Six. Simple and easier for future nics as well.

Enough of this gay banter. Re McGovern, obviously a great player, but can he play forward? I have not seen a great deal of him. I don't know whether we should be spending big bucks on another tall back. Paddy needs help forward. Carlisle can't play permanently forward, don't know about Goddard. Very hard to get these blokes to move anyway.

So from what I have heard about Mr McGovern is that he is quite comfortable where he is. Enjoys his fishing and is well set up. He is also extremely aware of how good he is and what he is worth. So effectively he is backing himself this year to either get an awesome offer from interstate, or at least have his current club get somewhere near the party.

So lets say he is worth say $700-$1M. Around that mark. He wants six years.

So at home brand value that would be 4.2M over six. Exceptional value if any club gets him for that. I mean we could be paying Lonie that for all we know.

A top six side might pry him loose for lets say 850k? That is 5.1M over six.

I reckon St.Kilda would have to be paying at least 25% over market to get him. We are s***. Lets be honest.
So that is around about the 1.1m mark, so $6.6M over 6 years. Really, to get the interest, take that to $1.2M per year.
7 Million for six years from this guy.

Substantial outlay.

Especially with a coach and administration that could may well be on the way out.
