Our first month of football
Desperately disappointing.
I have never seen a season written off so early.
It is not just the losses, it is the listless way we have thrown in the towel.
Where is the passion?
I cant see one player who has improved under Richo...we look anxious and exhausted....there is something seriously wrong at the club.

Re: Our first month of football
Players have not only not improved but have gone backwards since last year.
Billings, Gresham, Ross, Steele, Roberton are all less effective than last year with only Acres and Sinclair having similar form.

Heartbreaking . I cant recall so much anger from so many supporters -and all rightly so.
It also looks like Richo has lost the playing group. None of them believe in the plan, the structures or themselves.
Will struggle to get 15000 at the game this week.
It’s a train wreck on and off the field . Gate takings down, sponsors counting down the expiry date of their deals, members who can’t stand the pain anymore considering if they will renew next year.
Yes the sky really is in danger of falling in.

Our first month of football
I know it is hypothesising, but I think players Acres and Billing’s under someone like Clarkson would be busting games wide open.
I have especially watched Acre’s about to cover the entire length of the ground in a single play this year and his running ability it amazing.
He wants to take the game on all the time. Sometimes he doesn’t make the best decision but he never takes the easy out. Nearly always tries to get the time to move forward.
His second, third and fourth efforts are also standout.
I can’t understand why we can’t try him in centre bounces. I can only remember 1, last week, that he has contested.
Well today he was in there, but as the ruckman.
I would love to see him there more often. Jack Steven needs some help and while Ross can accumulate, he isn’t hurting anyone. Blake’s big body and tank always pushing forward with raking kicks could be a nice change to Ross’ handball backwards or ‘to the wing’ desposals.
Steven + Acres + Dunstan would be the trio I would love to see start each game at least until the bye.
Wow. That went further than I expected when I started.

Re: Our first month of football
For me it is that I feel I don’t have anything to cheer, regardless of result.
Back in the dark ages we had Barker, Muir, Burns, Cunningham, PLUGGER, Winmar, Buckets, Burkie, Banger, Lenny and Roo pure as pleasure makers.
As well as cult and backup figures like Frawley, Narkle, McAdam, Owen, Grant, Everitt, Jones, Gehrig, Milne, Vidovic et al...
We don’t have that in this team, nor the way we play.
Apologies to Jack Steven, but he is just below the level of players mentioned. Not a worse player but not one that brings me the same joy to watch.
I still love the club, but it isn’t loving me back at the minute.

Re: Our first month of football
I know what you're saying. I had to switch the game off half way through the 3rd quarter for my own mental health. Turned it back on in the last quarter. My wife came into the lounge room and made it worse. ' surely u didn't expect them to win. Calm down ' she says.
Just so frustrating watching this mess of a team right now

It's not a team. It's a group of players wearing the same jumper.Moods wrote:Just so frustrating watching this mess of a team right now

We can see it, but the coach can’t. It’s a no brainer. The coach is in serious denial.
We fell off a cliff in Rd 17 last year and he is pretending all is on track ever since.
