Totally agree. I reckon he could play a few years as a small forwardBackFromUSA wrote:Have been saying it all pre-season. Dave should be playing as the defensive half forward. Dangerous near goals and would relish hunting down a rebound defender. After a few Armo tackles that rebounder would run just a little more cautiously.

Not a chance. That's WOODROWS way of saying he hates seeing his brother getting bagged on here. Always gets salty when it happenssaintspremiers wrote:Is that cryptic for him not getting looked after properly by the club?DWOODROW wrote:I hope he gets traded.

Re: Is Armo cooked??
Dave has been far from our worst player this year and the bagging is over the top .
I will go with Tony 74.

No I genuinely hope he gets traded. Wished he had when Brisbane wanted him and wished he had when Richmond wanted him. Needs a fresh start and to move on from ST Kilda for a whole number of reasons

Saying thatSaints are in desperate need of experience and leadership. If all the old heads are gone and we have weak leadership around the club (which we have) we will be destined for the wilderness for along long time.

Re: Is Armo cooked??
Agree that he could be well suited to playing more at HF, with just the occasional run on the ball.
I’m not unhappy if he is going to Sandy this week. Hope he gets his confidence back,
We need a 2nd round pick this year - it would be a win win if we could get a 2nd round pick for him. Much like BJ who was going to struggle if he stayed , Armo looks like he needs a change.

Re: Is Armo cooked??
Armo was a genuine champ of the competition in 2015 before his injury. He played injured 2016 and basically did not play last year. If he is truly recovered he will come good and we need top performers. It takes time.

Re: Is Armo cooked??
During the Good Friday disaster he was the only mid I could see trying to shake things up a bit, although his kick for goal was possibly the worst set shot ever (spinning the ball furiously and kicking off 2 steps on an angle) when we really needed a cool head to steady the ship. He obviously still has the nous, just needs a few more weeks to get back into the swing of it...which can't be easy when the team's as god awful as it currently is.
If not, his value as a trade will be eroded anyway...not a chance of a 2nd round pick on his current form, maybe 4th round.

Armo's playing like someone who has had a lot of time off and needs to get 12 games back under his belt.
