Re: Changes for next week
If Longer is injured we've no alternative but to play Hickey, really. He held down first ruck without a problem in 2016. It's true he doesn't throw his body around like Longer. On the other hand, he's a better footballer.
We've got some other hard nuts in the midfield that can lend a hand as enforcers.

2016 footy was not even close to 2018, all the best to Tom though, hope he goes well if given the opportunity!!!!!bigcarl wrote:If Longer is injured we've no alternative but to play Hickey, really. Im sure hickey can be physically present - and run round a bitstonecold wrote:No, what he has to do is provide some sort of presence (physical), that would be a start!!!!!sunsaint wrote:Ok SC - have a chat with AR and tee it up
Let's face it Hickey only has to get 2 possessions and he's a 200% improvement
again lets face it - he only has to be slightly more beneficial than an obelisk to be an improvement

Brown won't go out, he will have to play on Jenkins, otherwise JC would have to, but leaves no-one for TeX!!!!!
Mav will come in, Lonie not so sure, Paddy will play and Bill may pass fitness test tomorrow, but I think he needs a spell, (not fit)!!!!!
I think Clarke and Coffie may swap!!!!!
Gilbo didn't play anywhere last week, so may need a VFL run!!!!!
So, your close Jaffa, but not quite, I think!!!!!

Changes
Stevens out Dunstan in
Longer out Anyone else in
Long out Weller in
Clark out Gilbert in
Paddy out White in
We can’t gift games to young players just cos they need games. They need to earn being picked with good performance in the twos including Coffield and Clarke.
Nothing wrong with Brown he is only as good as the pressure through the midfield....which did not exist on Friday

Your also happy to gift a game to anyone else (Hickey?????), whom has shown zero for 18 months!!!!!
Paddy deserves more games at this point!!!!!

Hard to argue with those, JB, but do you see the MBK having the nuts to do it?Joffa Burns wrote:OUTS & INS

"Is this the right room for an argument?"
"I told you once."
"No, you didn't."
"Yes, I did."
"Listen, an argument isn't just the automatic gainsaying of anything the other person says, it's a series of statements designed to support a particular conclusion."
"No, it isn't."
"Oh, I've had enough of this."
"No you haven't"
"Oh shut up."

Re: Changes for next week
Based on training this morning:
Ins Marshall, Dunstan,
Outs Billy (inj) Sinclair and Clark omitted.
Steven noticeably limping but trained with the main group. Didn't notice Stevens at all. Billy out there but struggling with hip ended up in Reserves team. Wellar in 1's initially but seemed off the pace and then disappeared. Gilbert in 1's and Steele in 2's for most of session then swapped towards the end. Big Lewie in 1's at the end.
Freezer training on his own doing laps and medium run throughs, seemed comfortable.
