Re: Clark Earns Debut
great news for the young man
I wonder if this means Coffield wont get in for a round 1 debut ? Unless our media peeps are deliberate in not announcing it at the same time ?
despite all the "blue collar Saints" rhetoric going around, I am genuinely excited about Saturday ....
want to christen my new Level 2 seats with a big fat win ...
Go on my Sainters !!

Re: Clark Earns Debut
Awesome news. Clark and Coffield look like fantastic draftees. Hats off to the recruiters. Makes up for missing out on J Kelly. Truly hope Coffield gets a gig too as he did have a better season than Clark IMO based on the praccie games.
Either of them a chance for the Rising Star I reckon.

Re: Clark Earns Debut
I don't think they'll both play as I don't think we'll go with 2 first gamers, but Coffield will be knocking on the door and I reckon he'll get an opportunity sooner rather than later.

Re: Clark Earns Debut
Coffield will find it harder to get in the side as we have so many hbf. We are desperate for a non vanilla mid preferably one with pace. Hunter will get there so needs games asap

Re: Clark Earns Debut
I saw him up close in the JLT at Cranbourne, he is a big fella about the size of Nat Fyfe. He uses it nicely by foot and makes smart decisions. He will go nicely in midfield.DJ Higgins wrote:Coffield will find it harder to get in the side as we have so many hbf. We are desperate for a non vanilla mid preferably one with pace. I'm sure Coffield will make his debut in the next few weeks.Linton Lodger wrote:I saw him up close in the JLT at Cranbourne, he is a big fella about the size of Nat Fyfe. Re: Clark Earns Debut
Coff might start off at hbf but we recruited him to play mid. No question.Jacks Back wrote:I'm sure Coffield will make his debut in the next few weeks.Linton Lodger wrote:I saw him up close in the JLT at Cranbourne, he is a big fella about the size of Nat Fyfe. Clark is starting on a wing. Good to see him get a first up game.

Re: Clark Earns Debut
I see your point but I am not so sure he will be a mid for a fair while yet and he is a great HBF. My limited knowledge of him from watching his highlights is that he loves floating around the back 50, intercepting the ball, reading where the ball is going and clearing the ball to a waiting mid. It looks like it was what he was born to do. Time will tell of course but just because we want him to play in the mids doesn't mean he can or even wants to. Either way it is a nice problem to have and it wont be long until we see him in our tri-colours.congorozides wrote:Jacks Back wrote:

Now don't drop him for ten weeks.
