Entirety consistent. Gave the unproven and mediocrely perFormed coach so why not the unproven and mediocrely performed player. Good grief!

Absolutely the right move. Well done saints, take the noise out of the season and let him and the club focus on delivering on his huge potential.

Correct! Richo has achieved nothing, in fact we've gone backwards after 2016.Drake Huggins wrote:Entirety consistent. Gave the unproven and mediocrely perFormed coach so why not the unproven and mediocrely performed player. Good grief!

Re: Paddy Extends contract
Hope Paddy has a good year, but is no further in front of any other new recruit. Apart from a couple of strong marks over in Tassie in a game once , there's been nothing else to really get excited about.

Paddy hopefully will be a good player. Can’t see him being an A grader but I’ll be happy for a solid B.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
Paddy looks as cut and fit as he ever has. If only he gets a decent run at it now, we might see a return for the enormous investment we made in him. The boy can play, that is not in dispute. Will his body stand up? That is the $64,000 question.

Re: Paddy Extends contract
I’m going to say he won’t make it to 100 games.
Has all the talent to play 300.
But I can’t reconcile the concussion issue. I don’t think he can undo his crash-and-bash style. It’s so instinctive.
I hear he’s been running a lot this PS - good, because getting a massive tank (the opposite of what he has now) might be the only way he gets to have a full career. But for now I can’t see a way around the Elephant in the room.

I'd be happy for him to be a solid B grade KPP in the mold of Bruce.

not disgreeing at all - i said last year i'd be happy if he can match kosi's achievements with us - but a bit sad that already the consensus appears to be that we blew the number one pick. hope he proves us doubters wrong.Joffa Burns wrote:Less skill and running power than Watts but 5 million time the ticker!saintspremiers wrote:Paddy hopefully will be a good player. Have to say, I really don't understand some of you "supporters". You almost fall over each other with the negative comments in that hope that one day you can say "I told you so" to prove you have an ounce of real football knowledge. I get it that every MEMBER has the right to an opinion, but the continual negative personal comments to one our young players is pretty frustrating. There are plenty of opposition ferals who will do that for us. Keep it constructive to the club. I might be blind in my devotion to the club, but I like what I see!

Welcome to Saintsational.net, a vipers nest and lions den of negativity in some quarters. Wait until you interact with Con G.Factor wrote:Have to say, I really don't understand some of you "supporters". Yep, some people are always negative on here and will never be happy whilst others I think are more frustrated and impatient in waiting for the Saints to reclaim a finals berth. They then take out a 21 year old kid and no 1 pick in Paddy or the coach Richo because he is apparantly too nice at after match press conferences. Then the recruiters cop it if one of their selections don't make the AA side within 3 years. It never ends.
A positive mindset and attitude will always bring out about positive results in the end. Patience is also the key in moving towards long term success.
The day the Saints as a club shows too much hubris is the day I die.

There are a lot of negative comments but there a lot of blind devotion comments that urge on delusion which are just as frustrating and some are straight out crap. Apparently Steele has broken his fibula and out for the yearFactor wrote:Have to say, I really don't understand some of you "supporters". In relation to Paddy however a lot of us are underwhelmed from what we have seen. He seems to have worked hard to finally get into shape and according to the one sided coaches comments he has great hands but need proof on the ground that will only come later this year. Fingers crossed he becomes a decent forward.
