Jack Trengove
Anybody know why Jack Trengove was delisted by Melb?
He is an ex-captain. What did he do wrong? (Sorry, I haven't been watching Melb. - who cares about Melb, really ??)
Anyway, is he a type of player that we could turn-around?

Re: Jack Trengove
Was a good player that got done over by injuries. Obviously a lot of talent there but would you have him in the side ahead of our 6-10 best onballers? Steven, Ross, Dunstan, Stevens, Steele, Armitage, Arces, Gresham, Sinclair, Billings, etc.Stian wrote:Anybody know why Jack Trengove was delisted by Melb?

I personally couldn't see it happening. He isn't what he used to be but I haven't heard a lot about him in the past couple of years to be honest.

don't see why we can't pick him up for a year. Could add depth and probably be more useful than weller or lonie

I think he has a foot injury that he hasn't been able to properly overcome for a few years

We don't want to pick up things from a verge collection
2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

Pretty sure this is his problem, a good talent but with a cronic injury.skeptic wrote:I think he has a foot injury that he hasn't been able to properly overcome for a few years
Re: Jack Trengove
Quickest way to build a list of cloggers is to draft other clubs has beens. We have trouble developing our own young players let alone fixing up a slow injury prone 26 year old from Melbourne.

Oh, please God no! He was a decent player a long time ago. Whatever has hobbled him has done so good and proper!
I think you're pretty tough, don't I?

It's a big NOPE from me. And I'm the sort of guy that sees good value in both stringer and Motlop.
No value here.
Melbourne had a lot more invested in getting him right to play, and they cut him loose. This speaks volumes.

Re: Jack Trengove
Jack quota already filled. There is room for another Josh, a Theodore, a Nickolas or a Samuel. Possibly even a Kevin.

Re: Jack Trengove
if you look up 'jack trengrove calf' on google images, you can see how bad the extent of his injury was. its pretty amazing that he ever played AFL after that
