If Wright is gone, then that is a TPP hit for 2018 as he was contracted for 2018.

Bains stuffed up and contracted too many, and so one or more contracted players have to go. Moreso as Savage when he came back was easily Top 5 for that brace of games and with form like that he plays on.

Joey being exited (forget the retirement spin) saved one contracted player being culled.

Wright going was fair enough. He had had many opportunities, and while he had some good points the bottom line was that he simply did not win the ball often enough.

Hardarse that gave his all. Thank you sir.

You're implying they had Saints mentioned before today?

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

I think you will find that if the club has any space under the 2017 cap then Wright could be paid out in 2017 without being included in the 2018 cap.

I had a look at a few instagrams. You heard it here first, Minchington, Longer, Hickey, Bruce and McCartin all delisted.

Do we remember what the recruiters saw in Jack Lonie to recruit him ( I have a vague recollection of speed and excellent kicking, but am probably dreaming that); and is it feasible for Tom Hickey to play as a tall forward from time to time? Can mark, not a bad kick for goal when nerves are under control and relatively agile.

Wondering of Werribee

That's real nothingness in so far as they were only rookies.

If the club wanted to be uber-conservative that could be it - we've already made the mandatory 3 changes (retirements) from our main list.

I ceraintly hope not!

Shallow to weak draft, so may depend on who the Club is bringing in as to who goes out, maybe!!!!!

Likely to upgrade Marshall, and what about O'Kearney? I would expect Holmes and at least one other to go, making it 5 gone. Trade in one player, upgrade Marshall, leaving 3 selections

So we still have Lonie on the list?

I was well on the way of picking the next whipping boy.

Our recruiters need a long hard look at themselves. Not one international rookie has made it onto the primary list. Lets see how they go with the two Irishmen

LIST CHANGES

St Kilda has made two list changes ahead of the off-season.

Nick Coughlan and international scholarship holder Joe Baker-Thomas have not been offered new contracts for the 2018 season.

Coughlan was selected at pick 23 in the 2015 Rookie Draft from the Murray Bushrangers.

Baker-Thomas was recruited from his native New Zealand in 2013 via an International Scholarship, making him the first ever international recruit to the Saints."

That can still affect the maximum TPP that can be banked this year. Which them means less in future.

You mean advancing contract future payments into 2017 if space is still available.

Not even low hanging fruit so far.
These were already on the ground.

You'd think O'Kearney will get a spot in the list. He's earned it.

2 gone already. Both rookies.

Baker Thomas and Coghlan.

As I understand it rookies in 2018 can play without being elevated. If so then no need to elevate Marshall or NoK.
