It is now the end of an era at the club. All the players who started out under GT have moved on. It's time for St.Kilda FC to turn a new leaf!

The end of an era with Joey and Roo gone- been around so long that you expect to see them out there in games. It will be different next season in a lot of ways.

Even if we only recruit/ draft Minnows Joey had to go as Bains buggered up bigtime on who was contracted already for 2018 on. His incompetence in this regard has only been made worse by the uncontracted Savage's very good form which form wise has him in front of quite a few contracted players.
We will go into 2018 either:
- delisting players they should be keeping,
- and/or will have to take a TPP hit by delisting a contracted player
- and/or not taking as many trades and draft picks as we should have.
PS> If Joey has stayed on he would not have been on big $$$

I've been convincing myself since the start of the year that joey would have to go for the good of the club, but now that it's happening, I'm pretty broken up about it
Thanks for all your work joey

Re: Joey
Club champion, if not legend.
Who would have thought that of all the players we drafted in 2000, 01 and 02, Joey - the least remarkable of them, really - would be so highly decorated. The 2nd most games from anyone in that crop and the 7th most of all time.
The 7th most of all time! What a servant, what a contribution he made.
Congratulations, Joey. A marvellous career.

Re: Joey
Thanks Joey. You've been a magnificent Saints man. You will be greatly missed.
I'm only sorry you weren't part of the last fortnight's public farewells. It would have been an honour to cheer you off the ground. A great shame.

Re: Joey
Thanks Joey, a great career and a great Saint. Like many from 09 and 10 deserved that little bit of luck to win that premiership.
Think of me long enough to make a memory.
