Delistings

Post: # 1696567Post MickThomas »

Norf has announced that Lachie Hansen
wasn't offered a new contract.

When do we find out about our guys that will be delisted?

2020 was an aberration, when we travelled twice to Adelaide and won both, beat Tigers early, beat our bogey Swans. 2021 we've returned to our old ways. Damn

no obligation to inform publicly the delistings at any specific date in near future, however i would expect announcements will be made during september to prepare for trade period . Only expect those with no trade value to be announced before trade period, and others may follow after that

Thanks for the mail, Tone. When will they be announced, or will Twitter take care of that?

Surely 5-6 list spots open up due retirements and delistings.

Richo told on 360 on Mon eve - that interviews with players to be over by Wed. Players on their time off from after Wed. So I interpreted by that time frame, those being delisted would know by then.
Players, possibly considered for trade etc would wait until trade period starts & date for list finalisation.
Remember, many a player is away on holidays and they are contacted by their manager and told about trades that come out of the blue...... eg McEvoy to Hawks, Josh Bruce thought he was possibly going to another Club when his manager contacted him to say Saints were interested.

With exit interviews over the next two weeks you don't want to be scheduled for Tuesday or Wednesday.

If that's right then Lonie was obviously one they had questions over as to his ability to make the grade hence so many games when many were scratching their heads ..
