Top 10 pickups in draft
Cal Twomey's Phantom Form Guide - August edition - http://m.afl.com.au/news/2017-08-17/cal ... st-edition
If Saints don't trade out the first 2 picks e.g for Kelly, here is what the Saints are looking at. Most seem to be Vics which helps alot.
1 x pure mid and 1 x fb/chb (Jarrod Brander) for mine.

Re: Top 10 pickups in draft
I'd genuinely be filthy if we used a top 10 pick on a key defender.
We need to use them on pure silk and class.. you can always find key defenders around who can hold down a post like NJ Brown, Hamling at Freo etc.
Don't waste a top pick or lots of cash on key defenders.

In a dream world 2 of Rayner, Davies-Uniacke, Cerra or Dow would slip to our picks. But in a real world I hope we can land Stephenson and someone else with classy foot skills

I would love a gun key back that is a top 10 pick. J. Weitering comes to mind.The_President wrote:I'd genuinely be filthy if we used a top 10 pick on a key defender.

Re: Top 10 pickups in draft
This draft is our opportunity to take two top 10 midfielders. How long since we've done that? Our last top 10 picks went on a full forward and a small forward / hff
Great opportunity to get in two gun kids, maybe an inside / outside combination

This - if we end up going to the draft with two top ten picks, then there is no way we should consider doing anything other than establishing the core of our midfield for the next decade.......

The draft is our opportunity to waste another 2 top 10 picks on guys with "good character and families" to top up Sandringham's playing list.MC Gusto wrote:This draft is our opportunity to take two top 10 midfielders. The more you know, the more you know you don't know.
When I was a young child, I knew that I knew so much about so much.
Now that I am old and know so much more, I know that I know so much about so little, and so little about so much.
