Just about to finish his fifth year on the list, contracted for two more years…
Only the one game last year so far.
There seemed to be a whole lot of optimism about him a while back, but where is he at? Longer, Hickey & Marshall seemingly in front of him at the moment.
Big guys take a long time to come on and he is still only 22 (nearly 23), but seven years on the list is a huge investment if he doesn't make it to play some regular AFL football.

Totally Agree.
He seems to tap very well, but that's where his game ends. He needs to be able to mark around the ground. However, Billy is also lacking in this department.

Re: Lewis Pierce
Saints need to make a call on these 4 rucks. As Marshall can play there also that makes 5. Plus add Bruce.
Longer and Marshall will remain. Surely only 1 of the following will remain for 2018: Hickey, Holmes and Pearce.
I think Holmes won't be retained so its either Hickey or Pearce leaving via trade. Believe both are still contracted next year.

Re: Lewis Pierce
Seems like Longer is ahead of Hickey now - Hickey probably has some trade value - I would trade him - I would keep Holmes and Pierce as back up going forward - Holmes maybe only survives another year Pierce would therefore get at least 2 more to prove himself - That way we free up 1 list spot taken by ruckman but still have enough ruck stocks to go forward - if Pierce and Holmes don't improve next year we look to replace Holmes in 2019 with someone who can then hopefully go ahead of pierce and Longer eventually
