Not sure how Sinclair could get votes - our mids got smashed and he did absolutely nothing (like Stevens and Steele) until Essendon began easing up after the game was won. Every week Sinclair gets overrated on votes. Needs to win his own ball.

1. Battle - 1 goal on debut in a shocker game for the club. Deserves some love. Goals are hard to come by.

Re: Votes v Dons
a mid gets half the contested possessions and lays half the number of tackles as lonie. in a game where we got crushed because too many mids went missing when it got tough.

Re: Votes v Dons
Maybe the coaches and match committee got it terribly wrong. We were coming off two 6 day breaks and the trip to Perth 2 weeks ago. Seb Ross, Steele, and especially Koby looked out of sorts. Why not play guys that were fresh? Billings looked and played like a kid that needed a rest also.desertsaint wrote:a mid gets half the contested possessions and lays half the number of tackles as lonie. in a game where we got crushed because too many mids went missing when it got tough.
Acres and Dunstan should have been included and perhaps Long and Billings rested. Maybe Koby and Seb could have played more as defensive forwards rather than their usual midfield roles. What sh1ts me is that there's no element of surprise and we are reactive, making changes only when it's far too late. If the coach and match committee values guys that can win the tap outs in the centre, why did they pick Tom Hickey to play as ruckman?

Sinclair is a beautiful user and he hurts the opposition. Not only with his running and his disposal but also his effort in close cannot be questioned.older saint wrote:5. Carlisle

When he get's the chance on the inside he is a little terrier and there was a moment where he had a 3rd, 4th, and 5th effort and he doesn't shirk a contest when it's his turn to go hard. Same with young Jack Steele. They are becomimg my favourite players
