Re: 5 In A Row?
Ill take any win they can muster. But 3 would be something wouldnt it!
But a win against essendon should bring some silence to my house.
A win against richmond would bring some more hilarious outrage on facebook. (did anyone else see that office one doing the round on the weekend HAHA)
Gold coast are 14th - we should beat them
Freo - I dont even care about freo.

Re: 5 In A Row?
One week at a time. First the Gold Coast Lemons on Sunday. Would like to see us bury that plastic team into the concrete foundations of Jihad Stadium.
Almost every teams' fortunes in the comp has been changing significantly just about every single week. It's too early to predict two or more weeks down the track. Let's not get ahead (or for some - behind) ourselves.

I think the players and coaches need to take it one week at a time - but I fail to see how my thoughts or mindset will impact the results at all.Sainternist wrote: Let's not get ahead (or for some - behind) ourselves.

Unless the players and coaches are busing poring over your posts, I guess not.Johnny Member wrote:I think the players and coaches need to take it one week at a time - but I fail to see how my thoughts or mindset will impact the results at all.Sainternist wrote: Let's not get ahead (or for some - behind) ourselves.
I'm not saying don't speculate over the games beyond Sunday's one against GC, I'm just saying it could be quite likely the circumstances have changed significantly by then. It has been an incredibly unpredictable season. Expected the unexpected! (I think that was the club's slogan when Malcolm Blight became coach for 2001)
Having said that, if our current situation is much to go by, every one of these next four games brings about a huge challenge.
I think we can account for Gold Coast. Freo in Perth doesn't look good and neither does Richmond or even Essendon at this stage. But as I said, this can change so rapidly and in no time. I hope Richo can get the team to find its mojo and start firing on all cylinders.

Re: 5 In A Row?
We cant even win 5 quarters in a row I cant see us winning all of the next 4 games. Richo's win/loss is about 30% so on those averages we will win one game and draw another.

Re: 5 In A Row?
Well if we do win 5 in a row it will be the first time we have done so since 2011 when we won 6 consecutive games between rounds 15-20.

Re: 5 In A Row?
Well I suppose to put it another way:
Losing to Gold Coast at Docklands? Disaster.
Losing to Feel? Disaster.
We MUST win the next two. There's absolutely zero reason or excuse not to.
The other two are 50-50.
So we definitely should win 3 in a row, and to win 5 in a row is a genuine possibility - certainly not out of the question.

Re: 5 In A Row?
If we lose to the Tiges we likely go back to 10th which is where we have been stuck most of the season.
I think this is a season defining game. On our home turf. An absolute must win if we want to play finals and/or a be a serious side.
Lose and we are just bog average and will be 9th, 10th or 11th....again.

Re: 5 In A Row?
I only want to see four in a row.
Just so long as they are all finals in the same season.
You know, the four that take you from finishing 5, 6, 7 or 8 to a premiership.

The more you know, the more you know you don't know.

Well, four from four so far. The great enemy awaits next Friday. The Besanko Cup.
