Maybe up ship creek!Sainternist wrote:Perhaps Hutchy can relocate himself.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”
St Kilda - At least we have a Crest!

NZ would be great... a place where AFL Football is about as relevant as badminton
Tassie, there is already a market to control. Everyone would jump on, as they are dying for a team to support.
I'd suggest not 9 games, but at least 6 (3 north, 3 south) with 11 in Melbourne 1 in NZ and 4 interstate.
That'd be my aim. A special design Jumper for the Tassie Games that incorporates the Big T and connects with the manic fans.
Also at least 1 pre season game and a community camp in Tassie
And a training and promotional camp in NZ
Would also like to see us continue the stronghold in the Bayside.

A real Sainter will pledge allegiance to the ❤ and despise the Pies, the Blues, and the Injectors.

and would be massive work to co-ordinate.
Makes no sense, and if 6 home games go to Tassie,
we lose 20k members because you've just cut 6 games
that they could convince the family to attend, reducing their value for money.
It makes no economic sense, no logistical sense,
no financial sense.

Hutchy's a f***wit, who cares what shite flows from his gob, it won't have anything to do with reality, hence, some carnt is his their time reporting it.
The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: Hutchy's Tassie Deal: Good Idea for the Saints??
Guys, I will keep this short.
Creating a "time-share" arrangement won't work for St Kilda - we are a Melbourne-based club that must concentrate on becoming a surviving and thriving club in this city.
We don't need to be anything other than a club that is the following:
- A place for our local fans and members to gather.
- Competitive for wins and ultimately, premierships.
- A continuation of the identity we know and love and has existed since 1873.
At maximum, we can sell two "versus-interstate-team" games per year to a secondary market. I'm fine with Tasmania being that market. The rest is bluff and bluster.
I'll leave with you with this though by esteemed football writer David Goldblatt - probably the smartest guy I've ever heard talk about sport.
"The only reason professional sport exists is because of the context fans provide it. And the only thing that provides context for clubs to be professional is the collective memory of the fans who turn up each week."

Clueless and mediocre petty tyrant.
