Re: Votes v Crows
5. Bruce - only goal scorer to 3QT
4. Geary, Betts could have kicked 15 if not for him, plus took a good hanger
3. Sinclair - looked to be the only capable of finding a player in space most of the time
2. Gilbo - hard working once again,
1. Mav - been very critical of him recently, but if he brings that 2nd half intensity for an entire game, our forward line looks so much better

As I've previously stated, he will need an ankle reco when our season is cooked!!!!!Scollop wrote:Mav looked really sore early on. Tried his heart out in his 100th

so out of 418 disposals, we gave 25 or 27 frees. As a percentage, it's 6.5%SuperDuper wrote:Ross

Thought Sinclaire did a bit. Umpires were influential and worth 3-4 goals..
How about all the clangers, if we reduced those, frees wouldn't matter.
Ross had 8, Koby had 8, Longer handballs 5m and turns it over, Gilbo and some others kicked out on the full more than once,
Newnes and others kicked to boundary...
Work on stuff they can control, like accuracy and skills, get those right,
because about 60 kicks and handballs were absolute rubbish.
That's a lot more than the free kick count.

Is his ankle suspect?
Then why is he playing injured?
Is that why his tackles can't stick? He seemed to move really quickly after he hobbled off and got treatment.
His ankle is not that bad, surely

Actually George it looks like your votes will count infinitely more than stonecold's. He's another that just comes to this thread to criticise but contributes nothing. And before I'm accused of the same:George27 wrote:No, I am actually serious. I am sorry if my opinion offends you. That was not my intention . My intention was simply to give my opinion. I recognise I am not super smart when it comes to football. I never played the game at the highest level. I have only watched about 1,000 games over the years. I was unaware I had to send a PM to you to check my opinion with you before publishing it. I am however very disappointed that you would swear at me. Please feel free to check all my posts on this site. I have always treated the opinions of my fellow Saints supporters with respect. That you have not accorded me the same respect is surprising .stonecold wrote:Your f****** joking, Geary was in our best two!!!!!George27 wrote:5. Seb Ross.

I also thought Stevens, Sinclair and Geary did ok, but it fell away after that. All the guys mentioned above made errors during the night, but in my opinion were the best of a disappointing group.
Anyway, the good news is that the ever-reliable Sainter Dad will give my votes the same value as he gives yours, which is a wonderful reflection of democracy at work.
Have a great weekend.

Footy tipping
I hate games like last night I want to pick the saints every weekend in my tips.
I had a bout of gilt just before the game but didn't change my tip.
We have a long way to go before we can tip against top four sides.
We do have good players but no household names that the kids at school would know.
I think with The players we have room in our salary cap and first round picks we will be good but it's going to be a while
before I can pick us against a top four team.

On Mavs ankle, he missed that game with the ankle probably 6 weeks ago, and seems to have limped off every game since. It's clearly still bothering him, if he needs surgery then we need to make sure it gets done early enough so 2018 pre-season isn't affected.

Re: Votes v Crows
Except for me and you, MCGU, almost nobody rated Newnes's game at all.
In the Hun he was a clear second in 'metres gained' on either side (1st Brodie Smith 579, 2nd JN 529, 3rd T Lynch 506, 4th Roberton 494, 5th Ross 461, fyi)
Surely that counts for quite a lot?! That's what I was sort of noticing all night.
Longer, on the other hand (whom you MCGU also rate), spent 98 minutes on the ground, and gained a grand total of 1 metre.
Yes, 1 metre.

Re: Votes v Crows
I never seem to notice Newnes when I'm watching the game, either at the ground or on the TV. I think I don't really notice him because he doesn't make massive mistakes like some other players, and doesn't do flashy things, he just sort of goes about his businessavid wrote:Except for me and you, MCGU, almost nobody rated Newnes's game at all.
