Yep.

It's kind of awesome that we finally have the depth to do this stuff, on genuine form.

Very happy to see DMac getting a run

Bruce mightn't be finding the big sticks but he does have a presence around the ground.
Not sure Paddy has the tank for that, but will be watching closely.

How long has Rampe been out for? Hope he's stale...he's one of those damned defenders like Yeo of the Wet Coke, or Docherty of the Creampuffs last week

Membrey and Roo will be covering some serious KMs!

McCartin definitely can do the deep long ball contest stuff Bruce does. Probably has better hands - mark and handball - at the moment. But I really rate Bruce, even lately, and I reckon he's a big out. McCartin definitely won't be covering the ground Bruce does.

Also puts more pressure on Longer and Gilbert, but they've been handling things lately.

Looking forward to this game!

However, I would have preferred Meatball to Dunstan. Though I confess to not knowing much about the Swans so if they're massive in the centre square then it could be justified.

Fair enough on McCartin..he's earned his promotion.... Bruce probably not playing well enough, neither is Maverick imo

We lose some speed and pressure with none of Minch, Long, Lonie, Wright playing forward...

Seb, Dunstan, Steele, Koby, Acres...

That's one too many insiders imo

Newnes, Sinclair, Billings, Joey are all our outside players playing tomorrow,
i think Acres is more of an outside player as well

Three good ins for the Swans. This game will be a real test - reckon Sydney have not given up on finals and this is a must win game for them. Be interesting to see how Paddy goes - less small forwards around to snatch up balls off the deck so let's hope he clunks those marks.

i hope that sinclair is confined to a small forwards role all game, i thinkk he plays better as a wing. would only take a good game from meatball and a bad game from him to be stuck in the 2s again if this is the case

looks finished, doesnt he?

Can play some pretty good AFL footy... never really got the defense/attack balance right though, for where he was played.. and not quite good enough to be purely attacking

I would not put Acres in that group. He spreads really well
And Seb has an outside part to his game as well

Really think this is a mistake, I just hope it's a bit of a wake up for Brucey but we will miss his massive tank and contesting.

As I posted earlier in the week with Billings now playing forward we had too many small forwards (ie Billings, Weller, Gresha and Meatball). So one had to go. Sinclair to stay in the midfield.

+1
He has composure, sense, accuracy, great judgement (he can do a clever little tap to a team-mate if he's outnumbered)

I agree with you. No way is that a group of inside only players.

Acres is mainly outside, and has shown that he can also push forward to be a marking target.

Ross plays inside and out.

Koby too can push forward.

Plus Sinclair has been in outsanding form as an outside mid.

our tactic of "bombing it to the top of the square" really is hopeless, with Skunk and Bruce spoiling each other,
at least Paddy just parks in the square and Membrey should be told to move around a lot (big aerobic capacity) and draw a defender.
We get lots of inside 50's but not a good return.
Need one strong marking Fwd, Paddy, and Roo and Skunk moving around with defenders chasing them.

Last week, Bwoose had 4 kicks, 3 handballs. I know he got 2 goals, but 7 disposals, really...

I Love THE BRUCE

But his last 2 games only generated 7 marks in total. Members took 13.

The Saints were bombing no doubt. But was he leading enough?

Not much forward defensive pressure is what I'm saying... defensive running.

Paddy nowhere as near as agile or have the running power of Bruce, and we leave out a small forward and bring in another inside mid.

Forward line will be

Billings - Membrey - Weller
Riewoldt - McCartin - Gresham

I reckon that fwd line lacks speed a bit

Dunstan's stats were ok but he had no impact. Don't know what Richo sees in him.
