Anyone got an update on Webster?
Haven't heard anything...
Big loss today. Through our structure out a little IMO with our play makers on HBF needing to be more cautious and accountable.

Re: Anyone got an update on Webster?
I agree. We missed his run and aggression. There are few players in the league who can kick as flat and with as much pinpoint accuracy as he can. Yes, he turns it over at times, but he seems to be hitting targets more consistently this season.

Re: Anyone got an update on Webster?
Richo said in the presser he had a broken hand and hopefully be back after the bye.
Tied Gilbert to the backline more (I have been liking his stints in the ruck) and Sinclair was deep in defence a bit (made a goal saving tackle)
Provides a good little period to try some replacements. Maybe Rice or Long??? Have nothing against him but hope we don't go back to Savage.

Big loss. Jimmy's developing into a very important player for us so let's hope it's not too bad.

Re: Anyone got an update on Webster?
It did upset our balance for sure and we lost that drive on the left..
Some intriguing option for AR now..
Does he replace like for like?
White or Rice?
Koby Stevens should come straight back in.
What if Mc Cartin kicks another bag?
Big decisions to make.

2 weeks
and then the bye, back for round 12

The Sandringham defence could be the first ever not to concede a goal.
Savage, Rice, White, McKenzie all wanting to be the one to get promoted next week.

That's a lot of half back flankers (no - not rhyming slang) in one side.ace wrote:The Sandringham defence could be the first ever not to concede a goal.

Rice has been very good all year and deserves a crack. Very polished I have thought.
On the other hand White is 188cm the same height as Jimmy.
So the club has a number of options to mull through.

Re: Anyone got an update on Webster?
We are playing Sydney in an 8 Point game.
No experiments in team selection.
There is trenchant opposition to my comments on Geary, Minchington and Sinclair particularly.
But yesterday displayed the limitations of each of those players graphically.
Plus that Membrey is not a KPP and should never be relied on as such = McCartin needs to come in.
Hopefully Carlisle is fully fit, because he is vital to our cause.
The ratio of handball to kicks needs to be assessed as well.

Re: Anyone got an update on Webster?
With such an even year, virtually every game is an 8 point game. But as Swans are currently second bottom the use of 8 point game really has no meaning in its traditional sense here.To the top wrote:We are playing Sydney in an 8 Point game.

Daniel McKenzie was named as an emergency for yesterdaycitywest wrote:We have depth.....Savage will come in.
If he plays well for the Zebs, he's a big chance of selection.
Savage is no longer an effective HBF, and DMack is younger and is the future

Jimmy was 188cm when he came to the club. Since then, with a better diet, he was grown a bit. Not sure how much.saintsRrising wrote:Or DMack who has come good of late.CarlTaughtMeEnglish wrote:

Yeah that's the sticking point for the bombers apparently, we need to find one in order to get the deal over the line.st.byron wrote:We don't have a second rounder. Gave it up for Steele.dragit wrote:The rumour going round is Savage and our 2nd rounder for Darcy Parish and Essendons 3rd rounder...
Parish grew up baracking for the Saints and can see the writing on the wall for the bombers, a decade plus of mid-table mediocrity...
