This GWS's first ever Friday night game in Melbourne and our first Friday night game anywhere since 2015
I expect up to 3,000 neutrals

Although last week was amazing,
the glass half-empty crowd (like me) expect a coming down to earth against
an artificial team of inhuman robots
Rd 14 last yr great game against Cats,
Rd 15 beaten by Suns by 40 pts.
Not confident of bringing A-Game 2 weeks in a row

Last week after half time was a training drill. We looked lazy and disinterested at the start of the last. I'm happy with all that given consecutive 6 day breaksWellardSaint wrote:19,575

Even Clarkson said the Saints could have won by more -We eased the pressure in the last quarter when the game was won.saintspremiers wrote:Last week after half time was a training drill. The least passionate supporter base in the league we own. Once a vocal crowd, now silent or at home like me whose lost interest due to the lack of atmosphere at our games

21,600. Very disappointing for the club's biggest game for years. Hopefully next week we get a few bandwagon jumpers. The stay at homes were the losers tonight. That was our best effort in years,

WAsn't a lot there but great atmosphere. REally got behind the team in the second half getting really vocal and into the game. If we can keep winning they will start jumping aboard the bandwagon for schizzle.

I thought the atmosphere tonight was great for a pretty ordinary crowd. I think we brought Richo's "noise of affirmation" and it lead to us winning more free kicks.jonesy wrote:The least passionate supporter base in the league we own. In terms of getting involved, the crowd was as good as I can remember for a Saints game in years. they were fantastic and I believe really lifted the boys. My hawk following mate who was with me was quite impressed. One of the more enjoyable nights at the footy I've had for a long time.....Bluthy wrote:WAsn't a lot there but great atmosphere. Re: Guess The Crowd: Real Saints vs. AFL Approved Giants
What does footy mean to the modern fan ?
I have a seat in the goal zone so there was lots of passion there tonight . Because your at one end , it's hard to follow the play when its at the far end so i sometimes go to level 3 to get that overall view .
Spent a quarter and a half there tonight
Most of the 50 odd people around me seemed to be more interested in talking / texting / smart phoning than watching what was an entertaining game .
Made me wonder why the f * * k did they bother coming to the game
Also the people on this site who love to knock the players yet never actually see them playing live
We play carlscum next week
Should get 40k plus there
Probably thanks to 20k blues that will turn up
