Dave Armo
Thought he was ok today.
Richo sad he did not pull up well and finished up sore. Had to be helped from the ground and he might struggle to get up next week.
I assume it's the groin issue.
Anyone have any info on his injury and condition?

Re: Dave Armo
He kicked an up and under in the last 1/4 and looked shot after that.
The local probably worn off by then.

I think it was just a collision injury

Pendlebury 12 contested possessions

Tackles 5 each
Pendlebury 2 marks 6 kicks 19 handball = 25 disposal
Armitage 7 marks 12 kicks 5 handball = 17 disposal
Shorty Armitage taking 7 marks - where was his opponent ?
Those stats tell me if they went head to head Pendlebury won clearly in close but Armitage was of greater value as a link player.
Could it be that Armitage's kicks tell us that Pendlebury only chases the ball and not his opponent.
Great offensive player, pathetic defensive player.

Despite what we heard about his injury woes (back) being behind him, sadly I think he is a bit cooked (groin now). Hope I can be proven wrong because at his best he is easily best 22.

Given that we have Koby busting the door down to play, guys like Minch and Sinclair that can't buy a game, and a reasonable assortment of similar mids in Seb, Dunstan, Steele and Acres to a lesser degree already in the team...tony74 wrote:He was touch and go for this game.

We all knew we'd have 10 players getting 20+ possies this week and could play a bit of chip lotto with the ball and control the tempo for a lot of the game.
Armo HAD to play even if 80%. We HAD to win. We were desperate for some form and Armo touch and go is still an excellent option and worth it.
Sure, he's probably cooked tor the cats, but he helped us with the grunt work and helped in a small part work the boys into better form (with Shyte goal kicking still).
He goes out maybe Steven comes in and the world is all good again.

Re: Dave Armo
They all walk tall with Armo in the game. Will do it all again for this week !!
nothing to say
Re: Dave Armo
Brave effort and great physicality around the ball, but shouldn't have played if wasn't completely right. What happened to this rotation idea? I guess the future doesn't matter as much as the present. What if Richo is ending Armo's career early by playing him injured? Richo played the hell out of Dunny too and he needed a shoulder reconstruction at his early age.

Re: Dave Armo
If he wasnt right then AR obviously doesnt trust Koby Stevens yet to play a role. To prefer an 80% Armitage to a 100% Koby Stevens says a bit. Maybe the food poisoning was still too early for his momentum. In the end AR got it right, we won and we move onto next week.
Re: Dave Armo
Just because we won doesn't necessarily mean they got it right. It's about winning the war, not every battle. Armo's injuries are a huge worry for his career. I really worry where he is at physically. Keeps getting injured. Maybe time for an extended break and let him get right instead of throwing him in not right.Vazelos wrote:If he wasnt right then AR obviously doesnt trust Koby Stevens yet to play a role.
