Dunno but maybe if dumb coaches, media, fans stopped telling him he had to 'crash packs' he wouldnt injured all the time.Leo.J wrote:8.50 in the first quarter up the top of the screen just after Acres tackles a Lion over the boundary.
Anyone know what happened?
We don't want him running in to packs for no reason. We want him winning the ball and kicking and/or setting up goals.
I'd rather he was smart than just crashing head first in to packs for no reason.

Re: Paddy on all fours in the first quarter.
At one stage I saw him take his time getting up from a tackle or marking attempt or something like that (nothing sinister) but I can't remember when that was.
As ex-president Peter Summers said:

Re: Paddy on all fours in the first quarter.
My point is that Paddy was hit hard enough off the ball by his opponent to go to ground.elizabethr wrote:What is your point ?
In the shot you see him on all fours. He doesn't look too good.
After that he made a couple of leads then went off for the rest of the quarter.
Is it possible that he was injured in that incident?
Which may have effected his form for the rest of the game?

I reckon the concussion from the West Coast game affected him hence being named on the benchLeo.J wrote:My point is that Paddy was hit hard enough off the ball by his opponent to go to ground.elizabethr wrote:What is your point ?

If he was concussed in the west coast match there's no way he played against the bears. No way.
He took a knock yes but concussion no

Re: Paddy on all fours in the first quarter.
I think you will find it was after he got tackled.
A sling tackle which seemed quite tame but when he landed on his back his head went back and hit the ground.
He took some time before getting back up to decide whether he was fit to play on or whether he should leave the field.
He definitely needs to start wearing a padded helmet.

Re: Paddy on all fours in the first quarter.
I watched him once he was down (didn't see what caused it), when he got up he didn't remonstrate with his opponent or anything like that.
Didn't see any trainers or the doc get out to him either.
