Whoever wants him will have to offer a lot and convince him they're a real chance.
Not everyone wants to live down in the SE of Australia?
Really?
Maybe they would just prefer to stay put...
Who would have known that!?
Wow!
Just wow!
No doubt it wowed you, as everyone could play the 'captain obvious' on every single post if they wanted to play the sarcastic fool.
but no, only you. well done!

You always wow me DS and sorry this offended you but no one on here would have ever had thought that someone might not want to live in a certain place.
Brilliant.
Holder of unacceptable views and other thought crimes.
I can think of 1.5 million reasons per year that might convince Nate that Melbourne is a great place to live. Plenty of people move to less than optimal places to live in order to further their careers or set themselves up financially. Overseas postings, the mining industry, and professional sport all spring to mind as everyday examples. As Winston Churchill famously said, "Madam, we have established what you are. Now, we are merely haggling over the price."
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Anyone notice this? Saints out of race for Martin according to Jake Niall.
"St Kilda is understood to be mindful of the high cost of luring Martin given it would likely take close to $1 million a year to prize the 25-year-old from Punt Road — taking into account the substantial offer Richmond has already made."
This seems a little dumb… high profile, elite free agents cost a lot of money… isn't that what we've been gearing up for all along?
We should have millions spare in our cap already plus Riewoldt, Dempster, Montagna, Gilbert will free up plenty more soon.

Yeah seems a bit weird. Not sure why we would want to hold out..
If it's not for Martin, we might not want to back the truck up for anyone.
Also mentions we are perusing Fyfe but unlikely to leave. And a few younger / contracted players.

Polite way of saying we don't think he's worth that kind of money. Could be due to any number of reasons, culture fit, attitude, ability, type of player need.
We now have Steele who may develop into a Martin type bull - we could also be looking at Hopper - another in the Dusty mould - all younger as well without the baggage

geesh imagine how good Martin would be if he stopped lugging all that luggage round in games
there have been saints players over the last decade that have had similar luggage and we have managed ok
If we are out of the picture for Martin @1mill then I really think we wont even look at Fyfe ( not that I have ever believed he will leave WA)
& becoming more and more convinced we will be looking at two players minimum maybe three
I thought I heard somewhere that Fyfe will be staying at freo but I can't find anything. Apparently he let it slip on a video he was doing for the club website or was I dreaming that?
As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Fine. How do you all of you know if he's still going to
He goood after his injury issues?
It's not a given, that Nathan Brown from the Tigers I think who buted his leg was shyte post injury and Goose, the Goose, was neve on fire after he got his big injury either.
i am Melbourne Skies - sometimes Blue Skies, Grey Skies, even Partly Cloudy Skies.

Somebody posted here that Fyfe signed and it will be announced later in the year

Jaxons posted earlier in the week that Fyfe deal has all but been done and will stay at Freo.
Sheil has signed on for another 2 years at GWS, so he's now out of the picture.
In the meantime North have gone and offered Dusty well over 1 mill dollars for 8 years and now their latest is they've offered Kelly a 9 year contract worth 9 mill. Are we supposed to beat that?
What would they do if they both said yes? Or has Dusty already knocked them back? Dipshit club.
Stavro at BF (itk) seems to think were still after Whitfield and Fyfe our number one FA target. Jax has said Whitfield is a smoke screen for what I have no idea, have we changed our plans? I still can't see Fyfe leaving.
So do we end up with Rocky and go to the draft? Any news jax?
EDIT forgot jax also mentioned Fyfe has already re-signed
