63 Hits Outs to 18
19 Hit outs to 53 was according the some why the Saints lost.
So 63 Hits Outs to 18 should guarantee a win by the same logic? The scoreboard states otherwise.

I'm gonna help your argument saints rising
Freo won hitouts, didn't help freo with a tap ruckman of Sandilands caliber. 63-18. 42 point loss.
NM won hit outs, didn't help with a tap ruckman of Goldsteins caliber. 51-29. 43 point loss.
Pies won hitouts. 50-25. Lost by 14 points.
Gws won hit outs 43-31. Lost by 56 points
Hawks won hit outs. Lost by 25 points
Swans won hit outs. Lost by 28 points
GC won hit outs. Lost by 4 points
Carlton won hitouts. Lost by 43 points
Saints lost hitouts 54-19. Lost by 30
In fact, WE WERE THE ONLY FUDGING TEAM THAT LOST THE HITOUTS THAT DID NOT WIN. Hows that for how influential it was?

Re: 63 Hits Outs to 18
It wasn't the hitouts though, it was the clearances. We couldn't get our hands on the ball in the centre after half time.
Generally this is a consequence of losing hitouts / hitouts to advantage as the winning ruck controls where the ball goes. I think this is pretty obvious.

Re: 63 Hits Outs to 18
Best midfield still wins games and has been proven for years. The Saints desparately need to think outside the square with our midfield because we are too slow and cant spread. Playing Dunstan, Ross and Armitage in the one midfield is like entering 3 draught horses in the Melbourne cup.
Richo get over your sole obsession with pressure acts and play some players with speed and flare in the middle. IMO Richo is way to narrow minded when it comes to our midfield rotations.

Re: 63 Hits Outs to 18
If the umpires are going to throw the ball up, at least throw it high enough for it to replicate a bounce. Can't stand these little Under 10 pathetic little jump balls which are barely even above the ruckman's head.
