Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
Where is this info coming from?
Would want a top 15 pick or equivalent for Hickey.
Armo around a pick 20.
Webster around a pick 25.
For all three - would want pick 2.

If they do this they have lost the plot. The Recruit wrote:I am amazed Hickey would be up for trade. Definitely needs it own thread...!
Hickey could be the best ruckman in the league.
Midfielders like Lachie Weller are more plentiful.

Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
To trade Hickey would be madness. One of the best ruckmen in the league and still improving. I find this rumour hard to believe unless the club has totally lost the plot.

What!?The Recruit wrote:Saying the trade is
Hickey for Weller and a pick
Surely men in white coats are waiting outside the Trade Centre ready to take our List Management team away.
Utter madness if it were true. Hopefully utter crap.

Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
The club clearly loves DMac and B White so it wouldnt completely surprise me if we traded JWeb.
We also have Wright and Rice who may be able to fill a spot down back.
I personally rate Webster highly so Id be sad to see him go but if we are a chasing a third defender around the 192cm mark maybe they will consider a trade for Webster.
I love the way he plays.

Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
Webby not going anywhere.
Absolutely nowhere.
I can see the attraction to trading Armo due to age and other inside mids, but only for a way overs offer. Ie 15 and Armo for a low single digit pick.
Weller is worth around pick 10 or so, Hickey for Weller is a huge risk but I wouldn't be against it if we thought Longer, Pierce and Holmes could hold up, lets be honest Naismith and Roughead battled it out this year in the GF!
I've been told Tom is not even close to being for sale but Weller is a silky outside leaning goal kicking midfielder - our list lacks his quality.
Would be shocked if any other the 3 are traded.

Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
I have been watching some of the matches this year that I had recorded and Hickey's ruck work is superb.
It would seriously affect Steven and our other midfielders if he was traded.
We would be taking a giant step back IMHO

Footy Clubs are a business now!!!!!
We need a strong young ruckman to build for a premiership tilt. Longer is a plodder in comparison.
Unless we are getting Fyfe we shouldn't trade Hickey.

Re: Hickey, Armo and Webster trade?
TW has not been right once. Not once so relax.
not going to be many trades
2016 Trade Period I can reveal right now.
Steele
Stevens
1 of Scrimshaw Berry or Rogue.
1 or 2 late picks probably duds.
All we needed to do. Midfield depth and key defender.

If they lose Webster n Hickey, will rethink my 2017. Have held off the ezy-pay for a bit and this will be a game-changer for me.
