Well that may explained the rumoured interest in Koby Stevens....and the "family reunites" with Lamb.SMS wrote:Sorry guys, Latest is Steele not coming.

So wait, the trade period starts in 12 days, finishes in 22 days, yet we're already done and dusted? I think we're doing it wrong. Or is it just supporters getting ahead of themselves? Surely not.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Im not sure Mitch Clark is a great example. Lobb was on the Brownlow table for GWS and looked quite happy. Will be GWS or WA and we are no chance because he is worth a top 5 pick imo. Not even sure wed want him anyway. Hed cost a bomb.Life Long Saint wrote:It's not unheard of for a player to get "lost" in Melbourne on the way to Perth...Mitch Clarke did it when he left Brisbane for Perth.mad saint guy wrote:Lobb is being chased with big money by both WA clubs which is where he's from. Can't see him going to a Melbourne club if he leaves (which is far from certain).

A 20yo WAFL player with one game to his name, good height, questionable attitude and the 'potential' tag.saintsRrising wrote:Lamb: 4th rounder, or not even that?
Probably around the pick 50 mark you'd reckon? 3rd round? We have a pick 46 or something which is probably about right.

Re: Jaxons come on down
To be honest I am pleased we are using pick 10 in the draft. Should be a good player available at that point. Especially with Sandy winning the TAC -wed be stupid not picking up a good local kid when they are sitting right there. Who knows - we might not get a top 10 draft pick for a while - so best to use it when we have it.SMS wrote:Sorry guys, Latest is Steele not coming. Infact NO ONE coming. Seems we cant attract anyone yet.
O wait except Tom Lamb. Thats right we are getting Tom Lamb. Fwiw I reckon he'll thrive back in Melbourne. Anyway, thats it.
Pick 10. Scrimshaw or Taranto we really keen on both if not will be VIC MID or DEFENDER.
Pick 64 to WCE for Lamb
Im sure Jaxons will back this up.
Pissed off we better get shiel or kelly next year. We need to become more attractive for players. Moorrabin and finals should help.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Longer for Stevens and pick 35?
Then we use 46 on Lamb and use 10 and 35 on kids in the draft?
Id be happy with that.

So according to some we're extremely active in the trade period and according to others we're struggling to attract anyone. Think I'll just wait to see what comes out in the wash.

Re: Jaxons come on down
Wise move, PRW. I'm with you. There'll be much ado about nothing until well into the last days of the trade period. Most deals will get done on the last day, as per usual. That's 3 weeks away. So much can happen. In other news, Waldo reckons Bryce Gibbs is off to Adelaide, with Carlton looking to cut hard and deep in order to strengthen their trade position. Interesting to see how they get Marchbank, because they've stated they don't want to give up pick 5. Maybe the Gibbs deal will start the dominoes falling. Maybe we can swoop nearer the end of trade. For once, I hope Barrett is right.prwilkinson wrote:So according to some we're extremely active in the trade period and according to others, we're struggling to attract anyone. We might as well have kept Delaney. Same strengths and weaknesses. Game has passed the immobile gorrilas by imo.

Another morsel...another club is into one of our players big time. I don't know who yet but was told if we trade it may shock supporters.
Something going on at the club because it's all very secretive the last two weeks.
Billings perhaps???

So are you Moorabbin Ghost, or did you just read his BF post or is it a coincidence that you just posted what he posted not long ago?Playon wrote:MG

Thanks for the morsel playon. I had a little mental bite and it ain't tasty. I will pass...Keep our potential stars and go to the draft.......why is it that there is this intense desire to trade?...and the even worse idea that if you do not trade you are a loser...Crazy really...Playon wrote:MG
