GWS vs DOGS.
Any one think the Bulldogs can win. Both teams have momentum. Surely the Bulldogs will in a hostorical sense have more to play for and will ultimately kill to win. Against the odds bulldogs will win for mine.

I bloody hope so, even though I really dislike the dishlickers.
I have no time for the AFL's love child.

Be interesting on Saturday - the afl's love child vs the umpires' love interest.

If Cats and Dogs win, we will have beaten the Premiers.

Want Giants to win the whole thing.
It will piss everyone off, make everyone hate the AFL even more and make a mockery of this years draft.

Dogs are a good side and they really play for Bevo. But the Giants have them for sheer class in most positions.

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
yep if they win the flag, trade down to pick 1, and still get all the academy kids they want, their will be a HUGE melt-down.satchmo wrote:This.SaintPav wrote:Want Giants to win the whole thing.

The draft/acemey rules allow them to have their cake, eat it, and and the same time give it to each of their relatives for christmas.
Re: GWS vs DOGS.
History says the teams that had the week off before the prelim usually win but that extra week off throws a spanner in the works. I'm hoping GWS might get cold feet but I think it will be a bridge too far for dogs on the road after two huge games already.

I want to see the Giants win against the Dogs and then win The GF.
Somehow, they just did a better job than the Suns in building their list.

The Saints are under review, will it make any difference to the underachievers ?

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
I hope the Dogs can go all the way. Their loyal fans deserve the taste of success just as much as we do. Would be happy for them to win it. Certainly can't stand Geelong - whichever of the Scott brother's it is that coaches them and Joel Duckwood.....and the Sydney teams are just the AFL's lovechildren...
Even competition my arse.

Dogs win... It makes them twice as good as us... And we'd officially be the worst club in the AFL.
Go Giants!!!

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
I want the Dogs to win, but think the Giants will have the depth and strength to win by about 8 points. I'm on the record here as saying that I don't care if the Giants win this year and next, as we won't be ready yet, and I guess in the misguided hope that the AFL will discontinue this ridiculously unfair drip feed that they and the Swans are on. Unlikely, I know.
But I want the Bulldogs to win, so that we will have the blowtorch applied to us as the only original club with one premiership and this inspires us to win the next Grand Final we are in.
I wonder how long these compromised drafts are going to go on and on for...? It seems that a side which has won 3 premierships this century are going to get the AFL treatment next with a priority pick to begin with and we all know how that will turn out, and the Suns look like they will need to rebuild their side as well, meaning more endless concessions...I mean, give us a break.

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
I would LOVE the Dogs to win it, and I can't believe any true Sainter would think otherwise. Who gives a toss if we're the only club to have won 1 flag afterwards, that's on us nobody else. If ppl can't see the similarities between our club and the doggies they would have to be blind. It would be a true win for the underdog and that's what makes sport fantastic I reckon.
GWS have only been in the comp 5 years - they haven't done the hard yards just yet. Can't stand the Cats (Bunch of flogs) Sydney would be my second preference to win it as I admire what they have done and how they go about it.
If the Dogs win Saturday night, I will attend the game and roar them on with their downtrodden fans - sure I'll be envious if they win it, but I'll be rapt for them.

Crikey. Don't understand how people can't empathise with the Dogs' supporters.Griggsy wrote:Go gws, I refuse to support the Bulldogs until we are 1up on a premiership
Long time VFL / AFL club, long time battlers, threatened with extinction/mergers more than once, success starved, no entitlement attitude.
Just watching their fans joy at their win last week was moving.
Hope they can do it for their fans and for a club with a long history to taste some success.
The two Sydney clubs are AFL marketing implants and Geelong have had their share - at our expense - and probably with chemical assistance.

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
Swans will probably win the lot. Envy prevents me from supporting the WB, as does their continual abuse of our champion skipper. GWS? Couldn't care less if they win it. Geelong? No thanks. So Sydney it is, reluctantly, for me. Best choice in a bad situation.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Re: GWS vs DOGS.
I've tipped GWS for the GF since they beat us, they're so dynamic.
Geelong are just coming good and may beat them, but I'm sticking with GWS for premiers. The only thing that could stop them is mental softness.
