Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
According to the Oval Office(Crackers Keenan) the unit is investigating a game in which this maggot officiated that was the subject of a betting plunge.
At the time there was criticism of this clown's performance during said match. The suggestion is that he was part of a giant betting web.
The sleazebag is also the subject of a social media campaign by women he has allegedly slept with who were unaware of his married status.
A whole website has been devoted to his predatory behaviour.
Always been on the cards that maggots have been betting on games where they can control the outcome.
Who's surprised?
Not I.
I wonder if the Saints have suffered at his hands.

Wasn't hard to find out. Just a few searches on google.
17 frees awarded to one side while he awarded 1 to the other would raise a few eyebrows.

Why isn't this debated on footy shows?
Maggots ruin games weekly with ridiculous biased decisions - needs to be scrutinised

Bulldogs v Adelaide. Other 2 umps awarded 11-10, he gave 17-1 in Dogs's favour.

Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
AFL dislike anything that damages the games image... Think Essendope , whispers in the sky etc. They would not be game to question the integrity of thier umpires (at least publicly ).. Expect the usual nothing to see here , if journos raise it there will be an investigation then again nothing to see here move along please.

Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
I have my suspicions that the AFL are looking for their very own Leicester Wolves in the Bulldogs.
They have been absolutely cradled by the umpires this season. There appears to be two different sets of rules - one when you play a regular game, and another when you play the Bulldogs.
The umpiring bias toward them against Hawthorn was cringe worthy I thought. Not that I felt a lot of sympathy for Hawthorn as they're usually on the good end of it - but gee it was bad. Unusually so.

I for 1 don't believe in an even free kick count. It's a joke that some umps tend to even them up towards the end of the game so the stats look fair with ridiculous frees.WellardSaint wrote:Bulldogs v Adelaide. Other 2 umps awarded 11-10, he gave 17-1 in Dogs's favour.

17 - 1 is pretty one sided though.
Any maggot that's been found betting on games should be named and shamed and never umpire again.
I'm still waiting on all umps to declare their footy teams they supported as kids so they never officiate a game that has any affect on their teams outcome.

Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
Problem is the other umps. If all 3 field umps saw the game very one-sided, then it's fine - the team on the receiving end has a discipline issue. But for 2 umps to be about 50:50, and the other one to be so far one sided, shows clear bias - intentional or not.ROLS-LEE wrote:I for 1 don't believe in an even free kick count. Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
I have been posting for years that some umpires are cheats and I believed that some were probably betting on games, either personally or through a crooked network.
I was heavily rubbished by posters like plugga 66.
It now appears I may have been correct.
It was bound to happen, human nature being what it is and the huge amounts that could be made by crooks.
I hope the prick gets fired, if not charged

If he is found guilty - he needs to be charged, how many others have lost/gained based on his actions, how many games were actually influenced, were we (or others) kept out of the finals due to incorrect umpiring.saynta wrote:I have been posting for years that some umpires are cheats and I believed that some were probably betting on games, either personally or through a crooked network.

There is a financial cost to this, both in terms of finals appearances and/or bets laid.
If he has affected the game, could he also tamper with the Brownlow count?
The questions never stop - it is the same as if a judge was found to have taken a bribe - all his cases would need to be scrutinised
If he is found guilty - this is truly the darkest day in sport.

Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
Saynta, you don't need to convince me..of course umps cheat. If they're unanswerable to they're decisions what do you think.
I remember back when cripps made his comeback game at docklands against adelaide early 2000s and one ump killed us. I was with a mate from adelaide who supports the crows and he laughed all night. I went home and searched the net / afl site to trying to find out where he was from..could not locate him anywhere unlike today on the afl website. Anyhow later in the year I was watching adelaide playing in Perth and noticed the same ump giving all the 50/50s to adelaide and the bias perth commentators screamed out the ump from adelaide was giving them everything. The problem is they're allowed to because most of the frees are technically there but are only paid one way unless the game is over.
Gavasker was never given out lbw in india but was given out over 30 times lbw in other countries.
why do you think cricket has international umps - its cheaper having local umps but they cheat

Yeah, like when I watch our games and scream at the cheats... well it could be said that I'm wearing the rose glasses, and probably true, but watching other games, with a bit more composure and I still see it, well you have to wondersaynta wrote:I have been posting for years that some umpires are cheats and I believed that some were probably betting on games, either personally or through a crooked network.

I think he was referring to Javed Miandad
I believe he was never given out LBW in Pakistan?
A country of cheats. Salim Malik was a disgrace, and the fix matches regularly.

How many innings in Pakistan?
I know there was a perception that the umps gave him an arm chair ride!!!

In Pakistan, Miandad was lbw eight times in 73 dismissals. Outside Pakistan, 25 times in 95.

Re: Umpire under investigation by AFL Integrity Unit
86 innings
13 were not out
It works out he was LBW about 20% of the time away and 10% at home
Average of 45 away and 61 at home
