No. That is all. Maybe Dustin, Rance and Cotchin. Otherwise, no. That is all.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

I stand by what I just said. And that is an amazing reflection on their situation.
Nothing better than a good Dad Joke.

And to just add further clarity, you could ask this question.
Are there any St Kilda players that Richmond would like?

Cotchin loves the game plan.james rose wrote:Jack and Lids every chance of leaving if Dimma doesn't....

Lots of dinky backwards and sideways kicking and 'one-two' handballs.
Also no ramifications when you dont try. Dimma just smiles and gives you a cuddle. Who wouldnt want him as their boss?
You still get paid your $800k a year. Bloody beautiful.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
Going through their list... There really isn't.
I mean that Daniel Rioli has got moxy but I wouldn't sell the farm for him
Alex Rance would suit us but I just don't think he's the best fit
Dusty is a gun but costs too much... Riewoldt is a gun but we don't need him him, Cotchin is soft under pressure
After that there list is full of too many bit players... Really bad strategy

In a word, no.
Possibly the worst list in the AFL.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
Ignoring price, I think Dusty is the only one that could really improve our team. 187cm gamebreaking power elite mid. We lack that bigtime. If one could insert a Dangerfield or a Dusty into our team it would IMO make a huge positive difference.skeptic wrote:Going through their list... There really isn't.

Rance is good, but tends to play as an intercept offensive tall back rather than as a key defender. Robbo has really starting blooming in that role.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
Rance and Dusty are among the best in the comp. Cotchin, RIewoldt and Deledio are very good players and that's just about all the kind words I can say about Richmond's list. Rioli looks promising while Corey Ellis and Ben Lennon might turn out ok if they changes clubs, but all in all they have very little of interest to us. Without a doubt the worst list in the AFL.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
Seriously anyone who did not say Rance to this question needs to find a big mirror
Someone even said they thought he might not fit, are you kidding?
Many good judges, not us by the way, recognise Rance as the best backman in the competition and one of the best in the last couple of decades
The question in the OP is just a hypothetical, so how on earth could you not want Rance if there was a chance, given most on here complained about our defence all year.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
He would cost a lot in trade. In terms of when we are hopefully a Top 4 team again (ie not next year) I am not that worried about our backline as I think we have a good mix to choose from:terry smith rules wrote:Seriously anyone who did not say Rance to this question needs to find a big mirror

Carlisle, Goddard, Coughlan, Robbo, Maybe Gilbert (ie could still be yong enough),Webster, White, McKenzie, Geary, Wright, Savage
But what I am most worried about is not having a superstar mid....and so if I had to trade for a player that would cost us, it would be Dusty over Rance as I personally think a player like Martin would improve us more than a player like Rance who while very good., a great mid is what we need.
If we want another tall back another opportunity will present to gain one at reasonable cost.

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
No thanks!
I can't think of one former Richmond who went on to play consistently well at St.Kilda. Aaron Fiora showed glimpses, but not until long showed why the Tiges got rid of him.
It seems all players from Richmond come with some type of defect. Maybe it's because they have been the worst club at recruiting in the last thirty-odd years.
Remember when Richmond boasted about having the better of the Riewoldts? They'd be changing their tune about that now.

They have a current board and two alternative factions.
But all three want to keep Hardwick!
Are they all blind and retarded?

Re: Any Richmond players we'd like?
I thought Justin Plapp was quite handy and was really looking good as a HBF once he made the switch. In his final season he was starting to make a real push for a contract extension and then he out his body on the line, got crunched... Damaged some bones and ran out of time.Con Gorozidis wrote:Not happy with Justin Plapp, Dean Polo and Adam Pattison?Sainternist wrote:No thanks!

Polo and Pattison both misfired badly though
