I too would love to hear others' thoughts on him. I know nothing about the kid.st.byron wrote:What is it about him Tony?tony74 wrote:Brandon White - cos sometimes you just can tell.

A smooth mover. Moves well and has a deadly left foot. Reminds me of Dal. I can pay no higher compliment. He'll make it. Another steal at the draft for our recruiters.
I started with nothing and I've got most of it left!

Beautifully balanced. Always seems to have time. Gem of a left footer.st.byron wrote:What is it about him Tony?tony74 wrote:Brandon White - cos sometimes you just can tell.

Player(s) who excite me..
Gresham- plays like he has been a senior player for years, and with a bit more strength and experience will be elite.
Acres- will just keep getting better. I think Richo realised that he just needed to keep playing him warts and all, and he gets caught sometimes, but he clearly waits for the percentage option when releasing the ball, and I'm not worried about his occasional turnovers and that will get nailed out in time.
Sinclair- I just hope Richo gives him a lot of game time and does't try and make him too accountable- he's player that needs to play his natural game and we need his X factor in the forward line.
Ross- I expect he will get bigger and stronger and start to influence games a bit more
Other than that, I need to see Paddy on the ground longer and doing more, but there's a something brewing there.

D-Mac isn’t just the most exciting, but also the most important for the saints. With our easily read game plan of switching, his pace from the back line like Johanisson from the doggies will make oppositions keep more numbers in the middle and break them open if they dare not.. would he eligible for Rising Star next year??

No - he has played 15 games total - the limit is 10 at the start of the yearseptember_saint wrote:D-Mac isn’t just the most exciting, but also the most important for the saints. Brandon white for me too.
He just looks like a natural footballer.
Saw Richo have a chat to him at quarter time on Sunday. I think he'll play his first game this week!

There's a bit of love for White, from tony74 and others, so I agree with Mr TremblerBernard Shakey wrote:Brandon white for me too.

Brandon could get a game

I would love to see Freeman being mentioned in such threads, but the boy has a long road in front of him before that happens.

One of the posts of the year!! Perfect summation, Gresh and Paddy are pure footballers, not athletes pretending to be footballers.carn_sainter wrote:Gresham. McCartin.
For pure football ability, these two are as good as I can remember at their age (I started watching only around the mid 90s)...right up there with the first glimpses of a young Brendon Goddard.
Gresham's ability in traffic and creative use of the ball are special by any standard.
McCartin's ability to mark a ball (he is the complete package here...hands, timing, body work) is, likewise, special by any standard.
They are footballers. There's something I love about guys who can influence games because of their football nous, not through being athletically and/or physically superior, if we can make the distinction.
I love their instinct on the field, no second guessing, great football brains. Seb is the same.
Acres is more a work in progress but has great potential
