Luke gone for season - can we beat sydney?
With both boys out for the season and Nathan W in doubt, who comes in?
P.S. In case you haven't heard I understand Blake has badly damaged his hand.

Re: Luke and Blake gone for season - can we beat sydney?
Was the OP tongue in cheek (I haven't seen the "tummy tap"'on the replay yet)? Hugely bad news for Blacres if not. We've got Jimmy W who played for Sandy today, as well as DMac, The Jacks, and what the hell, how about giving Shents or Eli a chance?

Acres has broken his hand before I believe. Strange injury to have twice in a couple of years.

8cres played the complete game. How can he do that with a broken hand?

Injury report says Nathan Wright was sore, and Lukey out of course, but nothing at all regarding 8cres.lintonstreet wrote:With both boys out for the season and Nathan W in doubt, who comes in?

No mention on the club website. Mentions injuries to both Dunstan and Wright.

Its a croc
MEDICAL ROOM
Carlton: The Blues emerged unscathed.
St Kilda: Seb Ross copped a big hit from Jack Silvagni in the second quarter and went to the bench shortly afterwards but quickly declared himself fit. Nathan Wright was another to be hit hard in the back at the end of that term and received treatment, but eventually came back on. He had the tracksuit on to start the final term but was forced back on the field after Luke Dunstan injured his left shoulder as he attempted to tackle Ed Curnow. He came back to the bench in a sling. Surgery is a possibility and he is expected to miss the rest of the season

I think, on reflection, that the OP was recalling the tummy tap and having a bit of a laugh.
That went wrong.
LInton, wherever you are, can you please confirm?
One way or the other!

Re: Luke gone for season, Blake maybe - can we beat sydney?
I'm worried that the lads saw a chance for a big winning margin, to get credits in the bank before takin on Sydney, because deep down, there's a big worry over Swans beating them up.
If they'd put the cue in the rack and won by 4 goals, it would just be a normal win.
But I think they're expecting a big loss next week so this margin is something to hang their hats on.

Posted elsewhere that we will miss Luke against the Swans hardened midfield, but someone else will get an opportunity to step in to do the bullocking work.

You worry too much! The challenge is for Sydney to win. They have more to win than we have to lose.

No dunstan makes it really hard in the middle for us
Maybe Joey comes in to the on balling mix.. and plays a run with on Hanneberry to try and make him accountable
Kennedy in the form that he is in is almost unstoppable
For us to win Armo has to have his best game of the year

Beat Bombers by 46 in Rd 9, then Freo by 44 in Rd 10.SaintPav wrote:You should post moreWellardSaint wrote:I'm worried that the lads saw a chance for a big winning margin, to get credits in the bank before takin on Sydney, because deep down, there's a big worry over Swans beating them up.

Just prior to a tough interstate trip to Adelaide. I suggest they worked so damned hard to win Rds 9 and 10, before the huge task of handling the Crows,
because they expected to lose at a hostile ground. They have trouble at interstate grounds where the crowd is 95% against them.
So they brought their A game in 9 and 10, knowing they couldn't really compete interstate.
They take on Sydney in a great atmosphere at Etihad, but the crowd can only help a bit, but the Swan's pressure and run, and skill, will hurt the lads.
Carlscum had 2 tough games, so were flat against us and made us look good.
