Re: Team v Carlton
Completely lost as to the reasons for selection this week!! But it says to me Lee is gone! Will be delisted for sure! Why not get more games into Mckenzie?! We play the tallest attack with a run and gun team who don't cost is the loss, then bring in a kp defender against the blues who don't have a heap of quality talks?! I'm a big fisher fan, but why at Mackenzie expense. Just don't get it...

Actually a bit pissed about Fisher coming back in. No real match up for him and DMac played well last week. What's the point? Get some games in the kids, wrap the oldies up in cottonwool and play who you want to see if they have a future. Eli and Shenton deserve a run. Even give Lee another crack. Way to conservative IMO.

Richo and the other guys in selection, have always been conservative.stkfc1 wrote:Actually a bit pissed about Fisher coming back in. No real match up for him and DMac played well last week. They never ever drop Gilbo, even when he makes monumental errors.
Playing favourites, or as they would say, those who "are strong in the contest" and can do some "positive" things on the field.
Makes up for the 50m penalties and free kicks in front of goal.
Fisher should stay in the ressies. If the next few games are about learning who might step up, not using Lee means he's done. Stick a fork in him.

Geary has proven to be a brilliant hard working defender. I bagged him for poor disposals but he is essential down back and is heroic. The Fireman wrote:Plus 1saintspremiers wrote:Glad Fisher is back. This is a must win game. Any game against Carlscum is.

Gilbo gives me heartburn.
Fish is not needed and detrimental to the development. Bring back Delaney instead, but no...play all the geriatrics.
Nice one, Richo

Well we just beat Carlton, Melbourne, Geelong, Essendon and the Dogs without Fisher so you cant honestly say we 'need' him to win.The Fireman wrote:Fish is needed if you want to win the game..or are you torn ?WellardSaint wrote:Geary has proven to be a brilliant hard working defender. Re: Team v Carlton
Does it really matter in the scheme of things if we win at this stage? Yes, if we were still a real chance of finals but even if by a miracle we make it, we're just making up the numbers. Better for the teams future to be getting games into kids now and if we drop a few spots on the ladder, big deal! Higher draft pick to play with. Win-win.The Fireman wrote:Fish is needed if you want to win the game..or are you torn ?WellardSaint wrote:Geary has proven to be a brilliant hard working defender. Re: Team v Carlton
I think the selectors should just do what they do . Select
I would think the first priority would be to win
I think they may have a good idea about what they are doing
I think they may know more than anyone on the forum? But I will stand corrected if you can convince me ....

You can't be serious about giving DudLee another chance, he is NOT AFL standard and NEVER will be.stkfc1 wrote:Actually a bit pissed about Fisher coming back in. Anyone who doesn't care if we are trying to beat Carlton should immediately visit the dodgiest parts of Rio for a holiday

Re: Team v Carlton
Back to Richo putting on his comfy undies - Fish, Demps, Gear, Gilbo, Joey #sobrave #whataboutthefuture I think we are too slow with all those guys in there at the back. No excuse not to win today with an old team like that. Safety first hey Rich - keep chasing that number 9 spot - its so vital!

I hope there is a late change, Montagna out and McKenzie back in.
I've loved watching Joey over the years, but I cringe every time he gets it now.

The recent data shows we can and do win without Fisher.lintonstreet wrote:OF COURSE WE WANT TO WIN - ITS HOW YOU INSTILL A WINNING CULTURE.
Seems weird to rush him back after 8 weeks out without any VFL games.
Not sure what the point is?

Nee!
Re: Team v Carlton
Yep. Is one of the few to take the penetrating kick from the back and open up the game. Need more of his like, not less. On the G today you'll see the best of him with his kicking and hard running to link up play and break lines.fugazi wrote:???
