Let's hope he gets through unscathed.

You can listen on Casey Radio but they don't seem to know the names of many of our players.

How did Freeman go?

As ex-president Peter Summers said:
“If we are going to be a contender, we may as well plan to win the bloody thing.”

Be careful MC - some posters might take offense to you posting this inconsequential information especially when you don't elaborate on the type, volume, width and length of this particular facial growth and how it affected his attack on the ball and subsequent disposal efficiency 8-)

Injury-plagued St Kilda midfielder Nathan Freeman emerged unscathed from his first VFL senior hitout of the season in Sandringham's 21-point loss to Port Melbourne at Trevor Barker Beach Oval on Sunday.

While it was a relief for Freeman – whose hamstring has caused problems after two separate VFL development league matches for the Zebras this season – he has yet to achieve consecutive matches, as the Saints wait to see how he pulls up from the hitout. Freeman, a prized top 10 draft selection for Collingwood before crossing to the Saints at the end of last season, played three-and-a-half quarters for the Zebras.

He had seven disposals and three tackles in the first half, lining up on a wing and half forward flank. He finished with 12 touches, but had little influence on the match.

Saints development coach Paul Hudson said Freeman was likely to line up for consecutive matches against Casey at Casey Fields next Sunday.

"We'll assess him like every other player and see if he plays next week. At this stage, I'd say he'd play again next week," Hudson said.

While there has been no rush with Freeman this season – the 21-year-old is yet to make his AFL debut and it is believed the Saints may look to send him to an overseas specialist, if there is no improvement in his troublesome hamstring during this stint.

Saints youngster Eli Templeton was the Zebras best with 33 disposals, while Jack Lonie snared two goals with 23 touches.

Port Melbourne defender Brody Mihocek said the "first quarter sort of set up the day", as they took a 46-point lead into the first change.

After their fifth consecutive win, the Borough are now just percentage outside of the top four, with Sandringham clinging to fourth- spot.
