The St Kilda forward line may be strengthened by the the return of Nick Riewoldt and Paddy McCartin for Sunday's game against Geelong.
The Saints will have a clearer take on the pair's availability later in the week, but on Monday were optimistic that both were on track to return.

Lees not injured. Louie won't be picked.saintsRrising wrote:So do we go head to head with Danger with Steven. Or go teh tag? Cats have been more vunerable when Danger is quiet. Weller? Though he concedes 7cm and 9kg, but does have the pace to keep up. Ross matches up better physically but lacks pace.
Delaney on Hawkins looks to be a good match up.
Webster on Menzel if he plays..
We need Hickey to at his best.
Quick ball movemnt can hurt the Cats, as does elite pressure. However Saints have been yo-yos in this all year and so it depends which St Kilda turns up.
If fit Roo and McCartin will both be back.
Pierce being retained will be an arm wrestle.
Lee may not make it due to his knee. Veryt still for him as this set of games may be his last just to show he can play at AFL level.
INS: Roo MCartin
OUT: Pierce Wright
If Lee is injured that may keep Pierce in.

He was piss poor against Carlton. Inside footy scored him a 2 out of 10 and that must have just been for him running on the ground.SemperFidelis wrote:Pleased to hear Lee is up and going again. At least we have some options.

Re: Changes vs Geelong
He was on the ground for little more than half a game. Between running on in the third and hobbling off 10 minutes later he appeared to hurt his leg twice.
I'm not saying he set the world on fire, but I thought he did the job he was expected to do well and in the absence of other fit backmen with at least a modicum of experience in the ones, I'm glad we at least have the option.

Your view not mine. I think Everitt just had a poor day as did most of his teammates. Lee had two possessions ffs. Everitt had about 12 from memory.Con Gorozidis wrote:Gave Everitt a bath in the first half. Seemed to be under instructions to play negative.saynta wrote:He was piss poor against Carlton. Everitt, who had had no influence, was shifted off Lee.
His possessions were further afield and after being shifted.

Re: Changes vs Geelong
I am well aware that some of them were. I actually didn't notice Lee for most of the game, nor do I remember him giving Everitt a hiding. Lee was really a non participant and spent the majority of the game on the bench or off the field.I renember looking for him in the first half and thinking he wasn't on the ground. To the top wrote:Everitt, who had had no influence, was shifted off Lee.

You mean if he was GOOD enough or if if Richo rated him. I think he should have played because he's better than Delaney. You need a big guy to stand in the hole at CHB and block the space.tony74 wrote:Would've played if the team needed him. I must say that Lee must be totally pissed off with Richardson because he's played well in the 2nds and can't get a crack at it. Thanks Tony for blurting that out. Not too subtle.

Subtle. A way of suggesting that he's not doing the 'team' thing, not following team rules maybe?tony74 wrote:Would've played if the team needed him. Roos knee is more injured than Toms.dragit wrote:The AFL outs lists him out with a knee, is that not true tone?tony74 wrote:Lees not injured.
The team doesn't need him. Not now, not ever, apparently.
