Well I can verify what the opening poster says, he doesnt know what a kpp is but we going to trade someone in. Personally I think he's likely to be 95% correct.I'm glad he has it on good authority

While technically I have already copped it sweet for defining a big bodied mid as a key position, I do have it on very good intel that Ameet B believes this to be the biggest challenge of his list management for 2018 -20.
Please though go ahead with your grandstanding as it's online clowns like you that continue to make me feel whole.

Re: End of season trade news
Why is the club trading away draft picks for top-up mature recruits? Do we seriously think we are contenders?
This has Collingwood and Richmond written all over it. We are over-rating where our list is. So we might get up to 7th or 8th in the next two years.
Big whoops.

Pretty sure the club is committing to its 2020 vision of a flag and will do everything in its power to field a top 4 side in 2018 and a premiership side in 2019 & 2020.Con Gorozidis wrote:Why is the club trading away draft picks for top-up mature recruits? Do we seriously think we are contenders?

Bit like RL did in 2008-2010 BUT with one difference that it will not ignore developing kids at the same time.
I completely understand your sentiments and I
m sure many will agree with you but I for one, would be happy to trade our top draft pick for a proven 23/24 year old A grade mid.

Re: End of season trade news
Seriously we are locked in on a KPP
Oh no sorry it's a mid
Oh and no, I have no idea who it is, but we're targeting him that's for sure
Why have we wasted 4 pages on this?

You like a couple of others in this thread are clearly devoid of opening your eyes and mind a little further than what is required.MC Gusto wrote:Seriously we are locked in on a KPP

I have apologised a couple of times earlier for categorising a Mid as a KP - something that I still standby btw.
The thread was designed to give posters a guess as to what position (NOT WHO! )our recruitment head was targeting at year end.
Pretty simple - but if you would like me to draw pictures please let me know.

Re: End of season trade news
It's been a clear part of the clubs strategy which is open to everyone!! We have openly stated we are targeting these players over the next few years!

Nowhere has the club EVER shared its # 1 trade priority at seasons end is to bring in an A Grade mid.
I have no idea what you are talking about when you reference "targeting these players'?
Might be time to get back to your school work

Exclusive news on the footy show
Thanks to a reliable source I can confirm the Saints are looking to recruit a big bodied mid at the end of the season.
They don't know who it is, but they know they want one.
It has nothing to do with any of the targets they've had in mind in recent times or the fact that they've been looking for one, this is totally different
as our source tells us they have no idea who it is yet.
More to play out on this, as they know they want one we'll try to keep you informed as the story unfolds

Ah at least we all know where you get your content from.
For the record, no mention in the saints 2020 vision statement about anything you have rambled on about, NOR what this thread is about - targeted an A Grade mid as our first trade priority.
I'm assuming you know what the word 'priority' means? It means singularly we are going after a mid - first and foremost.
It has nothing to do with the plural you have been spouting about.
I really think you should stay out of the list management threads
Re: End of season trade news
But also we are looking for a Key Position Midfielder. Thats pretty unique - I guess its someone who can play in that strip of field between CHF and the centre bounce square. The search could take a while, hope we are patient. But boy if we can land a Key Position Midfielder that gives a lot of versatility. Go get em trout!Playon wrote:I heard barrett's going to break the news on the Footy showMC Gusto wrote:Seriously we are locked in on a KPP

Re: End of season trade news
LOL Well as my old man used to say, a good footy player can play any position on the ground..
At some stage I'll set him straight if nobody else does and fill in the gaps that we already know this etc, But I hate typing and prefer to read
